Another beautiful fall day here and the farmers and happy to have a great start to harvest. May your day be blessed with all the things you love! Hugs, Nancy
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, Pam. We are expecting some rain today. I do have some reading to do if we get all that moisture. Hugs, my friend. Nancy
Good morning, hope all is well your way! Love the nails! My daughter does not nails, all decorated for fall and bit of Halloween, hope the weather will be good for the kiddies, go go go we are off again today.
Guess what we are doing this week... collecting eggs! We are getting 6 fresh eggs a day. Our friends came over yesterday for a visit and I gave them all the eggs we had, which was between 2 and 3 dozen (all fresh).
So today, we are patiently waiting for the six hens to take turns on the nest. There are several nests in the coop but they all lay their eggs in one nest. So when you open the top, all six, 3 white (Leghorns) and 3 brown (Rhode Island Reds) are all right there together.
Isn't that strange? Soon they will be able to hatch chickens because they have one rooster added to the mix now. They lost two young chickens (out of three) they had in a different pen. So they traded the last young one for a rooster because the older hens would pick and peck on the younger one.
Guess I had better go figure out what to do for our meal of the day. Bills are already paid, grass has been mowed, and I am getting hungry. So share your smile and know that I am sending Blessings and Hugs your way everyday.
What an interesting page you have Pam. Every time I check it out, its awesome.
I'm not so talented.
I wanted to have chickens here but we have too many coyotes. Couple of my neighbors tried having them and they got eatten 1 or 2 at a time. So I decided- not a good idea. Ha.
A short late note tonite Pam. Really nice weather today and for the past several days and tomorrow then some rain moves in but I think it will misss us and we'll have nice weather with no humidity and near 90 tomorrow. You sure got a lot of eggs Pam. I guess they would keep for a while or those folks will be eating a lot of egg salad and hard boiled eggs! I just made a quick dinner of spaghetti with jared sauce and Texas toast as I didn't plan on anything and before I knew it, it was time for dinner. I spent the time finally decorating for fall - and changing the table cloth - first it had to be ironed! Got to get a shot in my eye tomorrow morning so I might be on again late tomorrow if at all. Have a wonderful Tuesday. Good nite Wendy
Got the refund for my Au pkg but dont know when i will be able to try resending. local PO doesnt know a thing. Au pal sent me article saying Au can send stuff out but US is the one not sending to Au. Is indefinite till their covid is better there!
Got A cereal container, new cutting board and walnut oil for it, 11 inch granitestone skillet and seasoned it per instructions, and a bread holder for my Rhodes home baked bread, the loaf is too high and wide for my regular bread keeper.
Wednesday, when Judy is here, will have her help me clear back porch of all the garden stuff atop the dog house and store in containers in spare BR till next summer..fertilizer, insect sprays, etc.
Did get into the 90s this afternoon so had to shut up the house and turn on AC to get humidity out and cool things down!
Son in Va called and chatted about an hour, He just had electric fence installed for 2 German Shepherd dogs and now they can be put out and not worry about their safety. Says they already know where they can go and where they can't.../smart dogs!
Good afternoon my friend. Its a warm one here. But by Wednesday it will be in the 70's and rainy I hope. How is your day going, I'm hoping good. Not much going on here. I have the sheets for the bed in the dryer and when they are done I will need to make the bed. Well enjoy the rest of your day my friend and take care, Cheryl.
Ohh. I sure wish that we could have room here for a henhouse. I love gathering the eggs....but no hope for that here. We just have our 2 cats inside and David plants outside of our porch. Such is life in the city~~~ Have a good Monday. Hugs, Nancy
