It was a pretty laid back weekend for us - rained yesterday and showered today. Have to be thankful Henri passed us by and that's all we got. Heard New England states got it though. Went to the post Fri nite and stayed till midnite having a blast with friends. Stopped by on Sat to see how the poker run went - the post was their last stop and they cut their ride short due to the rain. All I did was to go food shopping - bought one pack of hamburger and the total bill was $104 - prices are just nuts anymore. How are they in Texas where you are? Off to a new week - hope yours will be good. BTW, who does all the cooking in your house if you don't cook? Inquiring minds want to now!!! Hugs good nite, Wendy

HI THERE PAM, MY PLANS ARE TO JUST GET THROUGH THIS COVID MESS AND FOR THE FOREST FIRES TO STOP IN OUR PROVINCE HERE. ALL MY FAMILY WERE EVACUATED BUT NOW SOME HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY CAN GO BACK HOME. A FRIEND LOST ALL OF HER PROPERTY, HOUSE, PUMP HOUSE, BARN, HAY AND CORRAL FOR THE HORSES. HAVE TO PCIK UP HORSES ON THE WEEKEND TO PUT INTO A MADE UP SHELTER. SUCH DRASTIC TIMES UP HERE. Its a hot Friday afternoon here. Its 95 and feels like 97. I can sure do without the humidity. I'm busy with the laundry and I have dishes to do but waiting for the chicken to get done in the oven before I do all my dishes. I'm making chicken tenders wrapped in turkey bacon and rolled in brown sugar. It is really good. The smell is making me hungry. Well have a good afternoon and stay cool. Take care, Cheryl
