Good Morning Pam, still soggy here and I'm longing for some cool Fall breezes as the humdity is so high here and icky sticky still. We will have a busy weekend with visits to hubby's family tomorrow then home to watch our ball game. The hummers are still so active here too and we leave our feeders up most of the year like you do. Have a good weekend.
Evening Pam - how was your day today? It was in the low 80 and very pleasant with no rain like yesterday. There was a luncheion at the senior center today preceeded by a woman who represented Medicare and the upcoming open enrollment. They served hamburgers, baked beans coleslaw and dessert. Dinner out was cancelled so Rich made dinner as I wasn't feeling all that great - just tired and no energy so it'll probably be an early night.
I think the hummers have left as I haven't seen them for the last couple of days. So I think I'll leave them up for another few days just in case, then take them down for the rest of the year. Think it might be an eary nite. I'm sure everyone up and down the coast is enjoying the cooler temps. Ejoy what is left of the day Pam and have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
Good morning Pam, the weekend is in view! I was trying a lazy week but as you can guess there is always something that needs done around the house. Wishing you a beautiful Thursday.
Very pretty niels and your hubby does a good job allways working. I DON;T like Autumn to much a little chilly for me in the morning. Good night sweetie.
Hi there. No I haven't fell off the face of the earth. Just been busy and then yesterday I had a doctor's appointment out of town and today I'm getting caught up on my laundry. Boy this week has went by fast. Can't believe its Wednesday and the afternoon is getting close to being over. Where does the time go anymore? Seems like I wake up in the morning and the day is half over. I'm so ready for Fall to get here. The mornings are cool but then the afternoon warms up. Of course here in the Oklahoma panhandle changing seasons doesn't always change the temperature. It will probably take a few weeks for the weather to cool down. Well have a nice rest of your afternoon and have a lovely evening my friend and take care, Cheryl
Had a doosy of a storm last nite. Fork and sheet lightning plus a tornado warning. Scareeeeee! Had a quiet relaxed weekend and new week. Did you get to cook all the stuff you took out of the fridge?
We are still celebrating my son David's 64th birthday and went out for mexican food at El Patio in Austin for lunch. It sure was a good meal and we had not been there to eat in quite a while. Now I plan to be lazy because tomorrow David will pick up my food order from HEB and it will take me a while to put it all up. I hope you are having a nice day, my friend Pam. Hugs, Nancy
Good Morning Pam, hope Hurricane Nicholas did not slam you with rain. We are to get some of his leftovers I think. So, more soggy days on tap for us. It's a quiet day here. I just began work on another rag wreath so will be cutting fabric strips for most of the day, taking a break to visit my Hill friends now though. Hope your day is good and you are enjoying all the lovely birds, plants and flowers. We still have hummers here for now. They come early and stay late due to our mild temps. Enjoy your Wednesday.
Hi Pam Good evening. Busy cleaning all day UGH!! It was cooler today and will be tomorrow also - only near 90. Watered the plants and will do it again tommorrow as it will be sunny and near 90 again. Cooked dinner (meatloaf and seasoned potatoes in the oven) and cleaned up. Tomorrow is a day of rest!! Have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
Good Morning! Well it's late but still morning! Sorry I've been MIA for several days. Wasn't feeling well but think I'm finally back on the mend. Having another beautiful fall day here. Laundry is started and I will work on some filing today. If I'm lucky, I'll spend some time in my rocker on the front porch. Won't be long til it's too cold out there. I enjoy your posts, Pam. Always fun to hear what my Hill friends are up to! Hugs, Nancy
Fortunately, or 'un', however one wants to look at it, we are seldom busy, and prefer it that way, as we kept plenty busy in our earlier years, and feel we deserve the break. In other words, we're RETIRED...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a TREMENDOUSLY TASTY TUESDAY, and are having a TANTILLIZING WEEK, my friend...
Well, here it is already Monday afternoon, but the yard has been mowed by me and Hubby has trimmed a tree, cut up the branches, cleaned out the Martin house, put up new fly catchers, and I'm sure several other things.
Hubby just went to run through the shower and told me that I needed to do that too... like maybe he could smell me. We have beautiful dark clouds today. We might get a sprinkle for tropical storm Nicholas but we are on the dry side. However, friends and family from the border (Mission) to Corpus Christi to Houston are predicted to get 6-12" of rain. The winds are only 70 mph now and are not expected to be much more than that.
Guess I had better find my water and figure out what our meal of the day will be today. Can't wait to see what your weekend was like and what plans you have for this middle of the month already. Time seems to fly by faster and faster the older we get. Don't forget to share your smile because there are lots of people out there looking for it.
Aww such a great post. Yes, I finished my watering today for all that I will do. Mainly wanted to get my iris's.
