Feel a little better today - everyday now is an improvement. It's hot an muggy today - watered the plants outside and deadheaded some; also put small flags out front for flag day. Usually line the drive with them but did it a bit different this time. Going to the meeting tonite and think I'll be ok as long as I don't have anything to eat. The electric company notified it's customers to not use major appliances during the peak hours of 3 and 6 to keep the grid from being overloaded. It is hot an muggy today - about 90 and I washed a load of towels earlier and they are in the dryer now - so I'm 15 minutes past the time. Good for your college team getting this far - I'm not into any college sports, but it's nice that you are such fans. Have a great rest of the day. Hugs,, Wendy
good morning Pam, we got storms and 2 plus inches of rain over the weekend. It was so needed. Hubby mowed early Sat. and good thing too as it stormed for 2 hours or more that afternoon and we lost power. The rain cooled us off at least and we opened the doors during the power outage to let in the breeze. Yesterday was a trip to the coast and we had a nice seafood lunch that was so good. We both had grouper. Mine was blackened which is my favorite way to eat it. Hot and sunny today and we'll dry out from the storms now I guess. The wind blew the rain in sideways and soaked my whole front porch and rugs. Hope your college teams won their games! Happy new week and have a good Flag Day!
Hi Pam - How was your weekend? I hope you got to have some fun and not work in the yard all day. I feel a bit better an did eat a bit of breakfast and a peice of chicken for dinner. Hope I'm better tomorrow when I go to the VFW meeting tomorrow an hope the BR stays clear when I need to use it. I did do a load of whites today but honey foslder them as I lay down to take a nap - something I have been doing every day since I've been sick - so unlike me. IT WORKS UP HERE, MAYBE TRY THAT OUT AND SEE IF TRUE DOWN THERE. !!! That is what we woke up to today. The winds were very high (had to tie one of the wind chimes) but we only got 2/10" from it as it dissipated as it got near us or fizzled out as our weatherman often says.
Took this yesterday showing how much water we still have standing and how much we need to be able to mow. However, I got some other good pictures too.

Making my weekend rounds.. Hope you are doing well. We finally got some much needed rain. Had a thunderstorm on Wednesday and then it rained pretty much all day yesterday. Still not feeling well today - ate some eggs this morning - first time I've eaten since Monday. Not setteling too well . Gonna miss a big retirement party this afternoon at some nice friend's with lots to eat and lots of friends, but I cant' see going.
