I love my God, my hubby, my kids, my 7 grand-kids, my dogs, my home, my friends, Nature, animals, and I'm learning to love me! Oh, and PURPLE!!! I'm a purple nut! I wear purple, my hair is purple, my new kitchen is purple, my old car was purple, the new one is silver & purple, and we have a lot of purple in our lives. I even have an amethyst in my nose-ring! Oh, and of course I wear bangles - lots of silver bangles!! Have done since forever.....must be my Indian blood!!!!! LOL!!
The most worthwhile thing I do with my life now, is working as a volunteer with 'Save The Children', in a Creche for children of refugees, mainly from African countries. The welfare of the children is what counts, not my personal opinions! What a BIG lesson for me - learning to listen, and be quiet. Now I know why the Creator gave me two ears and one mouth! Mmmmm..... I feel very humbled to be able to do this. It's a gift.










The worst thing that has ever happened to me is:
the tragic death of my older son, Danny, who died on January 6th 2008 of Melanoma cancer. I've never known pain like this, but I am just taking baby steps and getting through, a day at a time. It has changed my attitude to many things about life. It has forever changed my life.

This is Minx (back) and Gracie, and they are my fur-kids. I love them both very much, as I have all my dogs. Gracie is our newest addition, and I'm very pleased she's come to live with us now.

I like genuine people, honesty, thoughtfulness, anything purple-including purple dye,'cos if it's not purple then I'll make it so!! I love dogs, butterflies, frogs, nature, my garden, the birds & creatures in my garden - but NOT the cats that stalk them, clean sheets on my bed, my Teddy, photos, animals from all over the world, learning about anything, getting older and not being bothered about what anyone thinks of me - they don't do my life, I do! I love being at home. I love relaxing in my bath. And I love HUGS.
I appreciate ALL the blessings I am given daily. I love that I'm now on Broadband! YAY!!!!!

Most important - KNOWING that there is a Great Spirit/God/Higher Power/Creator in charge..... and it's not me!

People who prey on the young, elderly and vulnerable. Cruelty to animals or humans. Violence. Dishonesty. Housework. Cigarette smoke. People who think that their point of view is the only one. Housework. Drivers who don't care about other road users. People who take themselves too seriously. Housework. Freezing cold, lazy wind. Wastefulness. Housework. My metabolic rate - the Dr says I don't have one! Housework. That there's only 24 hours in a day! My many allergies. Rotten onions. Housework. Heights. Housework. My 'puta when it plays up. Oh, and did I mention housework?????

I enjoy being with my hubby, my family, being with my dogs,(you can see some photos in my gallery) reading, watching good TV, playing on my 'puta(when it goes okay), knitting, making teddies, sewing - clothes, not embroidery any more, making jewellery & crystal stuff, cooking & eating. I used to enjoy gardening until Minx(our second latest rescue dog)came to live with us....now she has taken over! I enjoy the company of true friends, being out in the bush, relaxing in the peace & quiet, taking photos of animals, insects and scenery - and grandchildren.
