I am lucky to have four living sons ages 14 - 28. We also have two angels in heaven. Baby Jennifer Rose and Shawn Andrew, forever 14.

Losing them has greatly changed my life in many ways. I just returned to school to get a degree in psychology as I want to be a grief counselor. Certainly not something I would ever have thought of being back when I was young.

A noble profession, grief counselor, I really don't think that I would be able to do that.  My son died at the age of 23...I light a candle each morning in memory of him and others that I know....I will remember your angels then also

MNNorthernlight, Thank you for this group... I believe losing a child , at any age, is the heaviest burden a mother can bear.  We never expect to out live our children.  My heart and prayers go out to anyone who shares in this burden.
