Good morning Pericrick. Happy HUMP DAY. I went out for the walk this morning to a pleasant 50*. The high is heading for 77* so it should be a nice day to sit in the house on the computer keeping track of the Court TV cases and sports talk shows. On the walk this morning, I mused about the absence of the newspaper carriers and how I had to be vigilant of their vehicles coming down the street and putting this walker in danger. I like to walk in the streets. Some of them would even acknowledge this walker. They helped break the monotony of the walk of the miles of empty streets and the thought of ever seeing home again. In modern times it has been adults doing the deliveries but in my earlier times it was the kids doing it. In 20 years people will not even remember the paper being delivered to the door of the reader. A bygone time which I miss already. I am glad I am retired because I do not know how I would get along without the paper at work, or if I stopped at a restaurant for breakfast, how could I eat??? Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. The eve of the weekend is here and so am I. Get your good clothing on and head out the door. Have a so-so day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! Postscriptum: don't be critical of the children for wearing white. This pic was taken the 23rd of July. I know how stern people are on the site for correctness.
Good morning Pericrick. I was out for the morning walk this morning and the first sign of Halloween. Happy Halloween. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! Post script: 1st time I saw these people do Halloween.
A semi emergency trip to Walmart, and the convenience store this morning. Has nothing to do with the pics but thought I would give you an idea of the trip up the hill. Lesser people take the ride up the hill but this writer does the walk. I believe the way to heaven is to walk and not take the easy way. Have a good day, and beware the Ides as Julius would warn. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings this Saturday morning Pericrick. Opening the day at 45*F heading to 68*. Felt somewhat cool this morning on the walk. I got the lawn done yesterday. Hopefully for the final time this year. Nothing planned for today except church later in the afternoon. There was an emergency stop this morning at the convenience store for bananas. As I entered the store I was humming the song about the lack of bananas, YES WE HAVE NO BANANAS, by Louis Prima. I am certain you remember him. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy LABOR DAY Pericrick. 51* out this morning. When I started the walk, the sky was clear and one could see every star in this quadrant, the Alpha Quadrant. By the time I ended my journey, it was cloudy and fog started to come in. Not certain of an agenda but I will probably take the bike out for something to do. Game time decision. I may go to the shrine. I don't think I went there this year. Laziness. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning Pericrick. Happy Labor Day Eve as I am certain most women know how that is. I am behind on the calendars. I got caught up with the football games yesterday so the day was non existent. I went out this morning to 61* although a temp gauge on the walk said it was 69*. I thought that had to be wrong as it felt cooler. Clear night enabled me to count all of the stars in the galaxy, well at least this quadrant. It was so nice that when returning to the Fortress I got out a chair and sat outside for a while with a continuation of counting the stars, I did not finish while on the walk, and I like to see rocks from space hit the Earth. The other day I secured some bananas, about a dozen. The problem was/is they are green. I am trying to ripen them but to no avail so far. Thus, no bananas this morning, or in the near future, unless I go and buy some at the store. Since it is a new month, I have to start the count on purchases anyway so maybe I shall. Have a good Sunday. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
