I live in Bloomington, MN. I have been married 25 year's.
We have a 17 year old daughter, a 30 year old son and new daughter in-law.
I had my son when I was young and still in high school. After giving birth I kept him 1 year, while still carrying my full load in school
but reality hit that at this age, I could not give him what I wanted him to have in life.
At this time I searched out a family and, for lack of a better word hand picked his family that adopted him.
When I placed him for adoption with this family, for 18+ years I decided it was in my son's best interest that I not see him, try to contact him.
However I also knew without one doubt, that one day I would see him. I guess, hope and faith kept me going, and believing this.
Six year's ago Christmas Eve, I received a call from my brother who said, "Peg, are you sitting down?" I was getting ready for alot of company for the holidays, so was rather impatient with my brother's question of, "Are you sitting down?!"
So, I said to him "Matthew can you tell me what you need, I have people coming soon for dinner
and, I am in a hurry!" He said, "A guy just called here asking me if my Dad's name was Ray, if I had a sister named Peggy, if I had 2 other brothers and a sister, and I think it was your son Ben!" Matthew told the young man who had called him, "I cannot give out my sister's phone number, but I can give her a message to call you if you would like me to."
After my brother told me that he thought it was my son calling, I think I was in shock, then in tears from the joy that I knew 20+ years ago, that someday...I didn't know what day, or how but I always believed that someday I would see him again!
I then told my daughter who was 12-13 years old then, that she had a brother named Ben...and she was SOOO excited!
So six years ago, my son who I had not seen since he was 1 year old was at our door,as a full grown man.
We do have a relationship today and, he is such a good big brother to his little sister too. She worships the ground he walks on almost!
Ben's adoptive parents were very supportive in helping him locate me, and are the most genuine, warm, loving and kind folks and, have welcomed us to there home and, family functions on many occasions.
Let's see what else can I say here! I work as a Nanny, and love it! I am 100% Norwegian...look out!

Rude people, Pessimist's; Sushi; Snakes-There is a story to this. That is: My husband spent several years in the US Army. After training in South America, and being gone for quite sometime he came home duffle bag and all. His flight arrived at some awful hour like 2AM. So he did not unpack when he got home right away.
Well...at the time I was working a 4AM-Noon shift, and I got up the next morning at 3AM for work, and accross our bedroom floor here come a snake. I "almost" did a back flip onto our bed, screamed...and scared the living day lights out of my husband who was sound asleep, told him "Get that thing out of here, I am not getting off this bed until you do!" Oh he did alright...he took it to a Reptile Ect Pet Store! He didn't want to just kill it, and didn't want to let it go because it might have been poisonous!
So...to this day I cannot stand looking at, or seeing a snake even on TV!
