Good morning. I hear rain. I hear thunder. I see lightning. Looks like rain most of the day. Looks like a day of retreat to my Ready Room in the Fortress of Solitude. Church later. As I am typing this, the rain is coming down much harder. This is the type of weather Noah described when building the boat I like to call The Ark. Now I had to close the window. I would imagine there will be some flooding in the lower areas of my viewing. Fortunately we have a marsh which takes care of a lot of this. Does not look like a walk this morning. Have a good day. Good morning. I have returned from the eye exam without fanfare. After some berating by the assistant and some yelling, it went reasonably well. Expecting more rain today.......... after 7 I think. That will allow me to complete my walk. I only did 2 miles yesterday due to the pressure of thinking of the eye exam. And besides the eye exam yesterday, I had to endure a trip to Walmart. Good morning. Cool rain came through and is continuing as of this typing. Currently 71* going to a high of 74* A vast improvement. I am trying to cool the house down by aerating the place. Tomorrow is the eye exam so I feel confined today, as with all appointments. I use the appointments for social dating. Nothing planned for today. Playing it by ear,to coin a phrase. Good morning. Going to be another hot one today. Tomorrow, a day of cooling. It does not pay for me to aerate the house. The difference in the temp between outside and inside is about 2*. In years past, I could cool the house down overnight. I guess one can look at it as not bad compared to my neighborhood in a billion years. The average temp will be 1500* F. Greetings. Monday. Supposed to get some rain with a chance of severe weather. It was in the 90s yesterday. It was the first day I had to bring out the fan. Right now, it is only 80* in the house but it feels worse than usual. I am aerating the house with the fan in the door but it is 78* outside so I do not know what good it will do. In either case, it looks like I shall be caught in the rain this morning on my walk. I shall be on the countdown for the eye exam later in the week. Live long and prosper.

Good morning. The other day, my trip to the mall was a success, to a point. I ordered some tennis shoes. Of course my coupon did not work for that product. I had not bought shoes from Penney's since they quit carrying Nikes. I decided to give another brand a chance. The failure of the trip was not being able to buy sunglasses from the kiosk. It is not there this year. They used to have my type and were inexpensive. Now I shall have to go to Walmart for them. Speaking of Walmart, I should go there today as I have become extremely low on butter. The only other thing today..... church later. My big project yesterday was to rid myself of a lot of the unopened/unread mail and debris from the mail around the house. About 2 years of mail. Most of my mail I do not even open any longer. Good morning. When I threw out the water this morning, in the distance, lightning. I think it is heat lightning but there is a threat of harsh weather later. Yesterday, I decided to mount a safari to Penney's. I was unsuccessful. I got about a mile and returned to the fortress. I may give it a try again today. I don't want to order from my house as I would have to pay for the shipping. If I do it from the store I am treated as a real customer. The other day I made out a brief list of ITEMS TO DO. I have only got one thing done. I scanned something into my computer. In an hour I embark on my exercise, if the rains do not come, and even then I may still go if not storming.
