Hello. Another cool morning, 52* heading into the 70s. I am heading into a day of dread this weekend, I believe. People gathering to remember someone who died about a month ago. The deceased died about without a funeral so I think this is a way of getting even for it. Ordinarily I can blend into the shadow where people forget I exist at these functions but someone sent word for me to be there. I hate gatherings. It is the thing I hated at work the most. I told the person who is responsible for securing my attention on this to send me a reminder. So, I am hoping the person forgets and I can forget. At least at a regular funeral one can hit the back door and no one notices. Most of the people I have seen three or four times in 50 years. And to top this off, I have an eye appointment and dental appointment in the next two months. Woe is me. Most years I have an eye appointment and a dental appointment, and that is it. Happy Sunday. I am expecting rain around 5:30 AM and people to start wearing white tomorrow. In the Colonies, tomorrow is a holiday. Unofficial start to summer. I completed my garden yesterday and now await results. Nothing planned for today and I may forgo my walk today. Game time decision at 5:15 for those biographers charting my life. Some sights and sounds of my day yesterday and today. I turned off the sound as there was some ridicule of someone pushing stuff out in the street in violation of some code or ethical behavior. I included my Walmart experience and why it is not as enjoyable as when you go to Walmart. I am early to the party and the real people have not come as yet who entertain. And then of course prepping for Memorial Day.
Happy Friday. As I look out the window, the Moon has a thin cloud going between it and this writer. I can see it clearly but there is a haze. I looked at the radar and it is clear for now but a thunderstorm seems possible after 8 AM Colonial time. I mowed the lawn yesterday. We have been given dispensation from having to mow during the month of May for about three years now to assist the bees. This year I mowed before now to test the new mower. After mowing yesterday, I had some aches and pains from doing so. It is ironic. I can go out for the walk in the morning for 4 or 5 miles with no problem but mowing the lawn for a half hour......... But then again, one I am used to, the other, not so much. I am not a slave to my lawn. I am planning on a safari to Walmart later. An emergency. I may go to church but that is a game time decision. Good morning. The last storm last night caught me by surprise. Lightning, thunder, torrential downpour with wind. Internet going on and off for a few minutes. The lights dimmed, and then a big crash somewhere as lightning said hello. And of course the horrible alert on the television interrupts my life.......... and it makes such a horrible sound. The weather says there is a slight chance of horrible weather this morning but I just looked at the weather and I see nothing......... as Schultz would say. And... to start off yesterday, I got wet on my walk. I leave you now with a thought. There must be an allergen in the air. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
It is raining with thunder and lightning for at least the next couple of hours. I was working on some old videos from the 60s yesterday. The quality is poor but brings back some thoughts, both good and bad. I had to figure out how to work the projector and screen again. I got to Walmart yesterday but unfortunately I always go early and miss seeing the funny people coming in. The new DVR, and who knows if it is new, does not want to cooperate with my stereo speakers. Only one will work. The problem is not my speakers. I was talking with my provider yesterday and she told me it has to be plugged into the TV. That does not work with my situation and I know it worked plugged into the other DVR. All is lost. Woe is this writer! Fortunately I only use them on the TV when I brush my teeth, at least 99% of the time. My analysis is that there is something wrong with the plug on the DVR. Good morning. I woke up and heard the rain on the side of the house. At one point earlier, about 11 PM, I had to get up and close the window. About 3AM, listening to the rain, I found myself not wanting to get up. It was peaceful, but then, an occasional thunder and lightning. I have no walk planned unless it is later. About 6 AM an excursion to the store, though it is a Walmart. It is not an emergency. They used to be open 24/7. Like everything, not good for this writer. The installation of a new Bishop today. I wonder if I will be called upon to speak. You know, introducing him and so forth. He is from Detroit so he will not know a lot of people here. Hide from the rain.
