A Whisper in the Wind came to me,,

If you're going to take the trouble to do something, then do your best.
You will never go wrong by aiming for the higher ground.
Fads and trends may come and go, but excellence never goes out of style.
When those around you are agonizing over how to do it cheaper,
or with minimum commitment, or more expediently,
put your focus on how to do it right.
When those around you are searching for gimmicks,
direct your attention toward real, lasting substance.

Quality will make you a winner.
Commitment and excellence will bring you to the front.
Pursue the higher ground.
It won't be easy, and because of that few will even bother.
But it will be best.

Relish the difficult challenges.
They are the ones which will bring the most spectacular results.
Take on the tough projects.
They carry the biggest opportunity for excellence.
Aim high, persist, and you'll most certainly get there.

Have a GOOD DAY,,,
Lots of LOVE, HUGS, and Prayers,,,

Hello Glitters

Good evening Judy,

Hope your doctor's appointment went well. When are you leaving for Florida? That's the place to be this time of year, for sure. I do know what you mean about traveling when you have pets. I know we would never leave Bosco in a kennel. We don't travel much, so it's usually not a problem. My son and his wife do go away very often and have two black labs. But they know they can count on us to go over and care for them each day.

I'm sitting here looking out my window and still don't see any signs of the storm they are predicting. There's supposed to be a lot of ice. I have such a fear of falling on the stuff. I know darn well that after a certain age our bones just don't heal the way they used to.

Well, I'll say goodnight for now and call on you again soon. Stay safe and warm. Hugs, Diane

A Whisper in the Wind came to me,,

Most of the things which hold you back do so with your assistance.
Some things stop you only because you've decided to let them stop you.
That's a sobering thought, and yet also a very liberating situation.
Those things which you allow to stop you can just as easily push you forward, when you decide to let them.
For every excuse which has the power to stop you,
there's an equally compelling reason to move on forward.
Challenge yourself to transform what were once your excuses into reasons for success.

It can be comforting for a while to sit back and tell yourself that someone
or something else is preventing you from moving ahead.
But that comfort soon fades into regret and despair over all the missed opportunities.

Even the very best, most reasonable excuses will add no lasting value to your life.
That's your job! Success and accomplishment will happen when you forget
about what might hold you back and focus on how to move ahead.
Don't squander your efforts on propping up the excuses.
Instead, give power and energy to your possibilities.
Let the reasons you keep at the front of your mind be reasons to succeed.

Have a GOOD DAY,,,

Just stopping by your lovely winter wonderland to say hello. My daughter and the family left yesterday and thank the Lord the weather was good for them to travel that long drive. Of course, now I'm just a little down in the dumps, I always am after they leave. But, I'll get busy this week putting away all the Christmas deco and I'll be fine. You take good care. Hugs, Diane

Sorry I didn't get back to you this morning to welcome you as my friend.

I'm very glad that you are.....

Some days just seem to go by so quickly and this was one of them.

Can't exactly say I accomplished very much but that's ok......Nothing on a time schedule anymore and that's just wonderful!!

Hope to have many chats with you in 2009...

Many hugs,  Pat

Hi Judy!!  Just stopping by for a quick visit to see how you are doing.  With the holidays behind us, maybe things will slow down some.  Life can be busy enough without the holidays I think.  I hope you are doing well.  Stop by for a visit sometime...........Hugs and Blessings, Vicki

A Whisper in the Wind came to me,,

Is fear holding you back? Fear of failure?
Fear of success? Fear of the unknown?
While a little fear can give a healthy dose of caution,
fear must be dealt with quickly and confidently.
Otherwise it becomes very destructive.
A Whisper in the Wind came to me,,

When you fear something, if you dwell on it,
you are giving that thing more and more power.
Just by thinking about the thing you fear, you can cause it to happen.

That's why it is so important to conquer your fears.

One of the best ways to deal with fear is to put it into perspective.
Ask yourself "what's the worst thing that can happen?"
Many times, your biggest fear is the fear of "looking bad."
This is really a silly fear, but it stops many, many people cold.

Or perhaps your fear is more substantial.
Perhaps you are fearful of a financial risk.
If so, then your fear may be telling you to be careful, and not to be foolish.
The way through this situation is to look at your potential investment carefully,
do the "due diligence" to make sure it is a solid, potentially profitable situation.
There is rarely any financial gain without risk,
but that doesn't mean we should take unnecessary risks.

Perhaps you've evaluated all the risks,
and feel comfortable on an intellectual level, but you still feel fear.
Again, ask yourself, "what's the worst that could happen?"
Let's say that the worst that could happen is that you would lose all of your assets.
That's very bad, of course. However, it's not the end of the world.
Many, many very successful people have come back from just such a situation.

The point is, your fears need to be resolved.
Sort of like taking out the garbage.
Fears build up as a result of our activities.
They're a necessary part of life, but if they stay around too long they start to really get messy.
Acknowledge your fears, deal with them, and get on with what you need to do.

Have a GOOD DAY,,,

Hi Judy, Judy!  Thanks for looking in on me today and so sorry about not responding to emails, can't retrieve them.  I think I may have worked my old comp to death lol..  My Baby, my XP PRO..so for Christmas the youngun's got me a VISTA..I can't do much here Judy until my folders, files etc are transfered over and thaat won't be until next week.  The I am most worried about is getting my payroll software transferred over safely.. I would hate to lose my music and old pictures..so we will see..and NO, I don't have a cleaner house, (that's the standard joke hahaha), I just got more depressed trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with the old girl.. I just sorta sat around, pulling on my bottom lip, now I'm tripping on the darned thing as I am walking around lolol..I have bugged the heck out of my technical support group, had 3 modems put in, a whole telephone line replaced, replaced all cords to all phones in the house etc..and it still won't work..I can use it, make pretty stuff etc lolol..but can't get online..can't get updates etc.

So we will see what Monday brings...I can still do payroll, but don't have a clue if there are updates for this new year, some including me just might be short changed a tad lolol..which means alot of adjustments will have to be made..

Anyway, if you need me, leave me a message in comments or send me a message..

Sending lv and hugs..Nancy

A Whisper in the Wind came to me,, Happy New Year

Today is the day when we pay tribute to the passage of time.
Our planet has made one more trip around the solar system, and we call that a year.

Our perception of time is useful, because it helps us live our lives.
Thousands of years ago, with technology that would be considered quite crude by today's standards,
people were able to accurately measure and anticipate the various seasons of the year.
The concept of time has been important for a long time.

Like any useful tool, however, time can be abused and misused.
Excuses like "I'm too old to do that" or "I'll have plenty of time for that later"
are a misuse of the concept of time.
The first one assumes that there is never enough time.
The second one assumes that there is always enough time.
They are both wrong. Time is what you make of it.
It does not make you or define you or rescue you from mediocrity.
Whether you say "there's never enough time" or "there's always more time"
what you are really saying is that you're not willing to make the effort to use time wisely.

Consider for a moment the possibility that time does not exist.
That it is just a convenient concept, a theory, that has no basis in reality.
What if everything you were, everything you are, and everything you are going to be, existed all at once?
When you think about it, have you ever really experienced the past or the future?
Sure, you have memories of the past, but have you ever been there?
You have hopes and fears and anticipation for the future, but have you ever been there?
The fact is, the only place you exist is now. What if there were no future and no past?
What if you had to be everything you could be right now? How would that change you?

Time is a tool that humans have invented to help make sense of the universe.
It is an extremely useful tool that helps us plan and organize and understand our lives.
But time is separate from our existance, just as the hammer is separate from the carpenter.
Though the hammer is one of the carpenter's most useful tools,
though it helps him to fashion his world and accomplish great things,
the hammer does not define the carpenter.
Does the carpenter stop doing his work just because he has used his hammer for too long?
No, of course not. Does the carpenter neglect to do his work because he has a new, shiny hammer that will "always be there"? No.

We must learn to use time for what it is without letting it hold us back.
You don't have a lack of time. You don't have plenty of time.
You have only the use of time. It's up to you to use it wisely.

Have a GOOD DAY,,,
Lots of LOVE, HUGS, and Prayers,,,
