HI DICK,
Just returned from a very enjoyable trip in our little (two berth )campervan. On the way home we decided to stop for a look at one of the areas where I used to hunt in my youth ( teenage years )WELL !! talk about surprises !! It was a small clearing hacked out of the bush by a man newly returned from W.W.2.on which he milked some 30-odd cows, with an old stationary jumbo petrol engine to drive the milking machines. No family, just a slab hut to live in, he did eventualy have a house keeper. The place was over-run with wild pigs ripping up the new grass and mobs of goats coming out of the bush to feed, also on his new grass. Then there was the Opossums, thousands of them yeah a young fellas dream. Well to-day we went back there,--sadly, all has now been swallowed up in lifestyle blocks, Mountain bike trails everwhere, 4 wheel drive thingy's screaming around tearing the place to bits--huh-not an animal or bird to be seen , mate --I wish I hadn't gone back! progress ! HHAHH- RUBBISH !!!! but I guess you have seen similar things over your way, better go before I get too wound up, B.4.N. butch
