EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS
Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!
Get in here and get dried off. It's been pouring down... and I do mean pouring. The Storm and Lightning Gods were up above the house playing their games. One bolt thrown was right above the house... House shook and the thunder rolled down the valley to the east... dogs piled into the bedroom and onto the bed. Too funny, the pyggs was directing traffic. LOLOL I slept thru the worst of it. The phone rang several times but I didn't dare answer. I can just see me going off like a sky rocket if the phone lines had been struck while I had the phone to my ear.
Sheesh, G'cutter came out yesterday and dragged me to the grocery store... Guess who didn't want to go! And guess who had the best time in the check out lane? Wheel chair and all! I was a bad girl ... gave everybody, customers included, a hard time...Gal at the register thanked me for coming in and making her laff. No problem, I'm good at it cause I have a lot of practice!!!!!
Now, let me tell you about some of the remarks I keep getting from various and assorted rotten kids.
If any of you have noticed the links being sent by the Marv, the paleo remarks...Those are old person remarks aimed in my direction. And you of those on Gather might have noticed the skunk remark from someone who shall remain nameless but his initials are DonaldDoc aka DDBrat!
DDBrat's comment about my being nice to the Marv when he, Marv, was feeling bad. Comment: "you (me) being nice is like finding a skunk wearing perfume" Now, his opinion might be right on but, I feel everybody should have at least 5 minutes of nice whether or not it is deserved! lolol I'm starting to get tickled... oh oh!
Now, let me tell you, that skunks don't smell that bad unless you don't understand or speak skunk. I've already told you about the Peach Blossom... but maybe I haven't mentioned I speak skunk, dog, cat, horse, mule, parrot, some goose/duck, Hamster, guinea pig, rabbit... hmmm, I'm thinking... oh, I speak koi, canary, finch and possum. I speak some red tailed hawk (beautiful mating flights up here on the mountain) I speak some tropical fish talk, esp, Siamese Fighting fish (Betas)... Oh, I speak boa constrictor and some ball python. And some black snake and copperhead. I'm sure I am forgetting some critters but I'm sure y'all get the idea.
I also speak squirrel but haven't seen but two since I've moved to the mountains. I had a squirrel who lived in the next door neighbor's tree up in Ohio. I would call and he would come down the trunk... hang upside down and take nuts out of my hand. Wish you could have seen his cheeks by the time he decided he'd had enuf.
Oh dear, I forgot crow speak and chipmunks....
And do check out the pic of the Monster pup and the Pyggs... becoming best friends.
Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to 'listen' to the critters...wild or tame. They have much to teach us.
Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter meems, the sometime rookie
