EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS - Sunday - 2013*7*21
Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Hey, come on in... help selves and be comfy. I don't mind late visitors... kinda fun to just be gettin' up when everybody else is getting ready to go sleepy-bye. lolol Finished a pot of coffee...I keep it in the fridge. And, I made a fresh pot. As usual, just in case, when it cools, its lil pot will go in the fridge too. Well, that's lots better than putting the ice cream in the microwave.
Anna and I have swapped tales of our kitchen misadventures. She found her missing gallon of milk in the wall cupboard... and the cordless in the fridge. I put/found my car keys in the fridge one time... Can y'all say absent minded? Or sumfin? That Anna is a bad influence... trust me! lolololol And I ain't a talkin' behind her back... I say that right to her front... lololol
I have an Oh Dear! Guess who has managed to escape from the back yard? Yup, you are right. Daggone Monty dog. I guess he's dug his way out somewhere back there. When it cools off some, I'll have to go out and check the perimeter. Sheesh! I just don't want anything to happen to this monster. His personality is very much like the Newbs even to the point where he is starting to lean against me. And trust me, it's hard to stand or keep your balance when you have a 100 lb pup leaning against your leg!
Anyway, I guess he'd been out all day while I was asleep. The Houdi and Stormy watched out and took care of him. They really are a good bunch of critters. Even my trash collector likes them and said not one of my dogs has been mean or threatening. All I can do for the present is keep my eye on them and hope.
BTW, Anna saw him out in the yard today when she went to church. Told me that he, Monty, appears to be bigger than the Newbs. Monty is only 7 1/2 months old... He will keep growing until he is at least two years old. Newbie never did stop growing... Oh dear... And did anybody see the pic of the Newfoundland retriever in yesterday's FB?
Ya know, I met one of the Newfoundland critters one time when I was down at Lake Cumberland. This fur covered horse was running around...checking everything out. Spotted me and here he comes! I hunkered down and waited... He puts on the brakes to keep from running over me. I talk ... he slurps... I pet, he still slurps. I pound on his side... he still slurps. I crack up...
His owners where in the background watching this show... Stunned that I wasn't afraid of him because of his size. Now, y'all know I speak and read dog. Size doesn't matter... language does. I will say this for retrievers, they are prime con artists... Would their eyes lie to you? lolol Where do you think I learned my bad habits... lolol
Below pix... sun dog and lonely dog....
Take care all of mine and go in safety always. Remember to observe the world around you... it has much to teach.
Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter... meemsa hint maybe... try hitting control, then the plus key to enlarge the above...lolol
