2014*5*20 Tuesday EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS***VOTING DAY!
Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Getting warmer and the breeze is nicely moving out of the west... lolol Coffee is hot... tea is cold and there's a big bowl of trail mix just waiting to add an inch or two to your waist line! Lololol
Anna came up to get me around 1000 hours, maybe... Somewhere around then... off we went down the road to the voting booth... yes, booth...one.. Anna's son is running for district Magistrate in our area. Well, I just had to go vote for him... and Matt who is running for constable our area. Had the best time down there... as usual, I misbehaved...
Anna knew everybody there ... I only knew a couple of people but of all things... the jail transport officer stopped by and then, there was the Kelly... When Kell spotted me, he yelled "hey, Meaness!" The whole group turned at looked at me! No doubt as to whom he was meaning. I cracked up... I really must have a reputation that I must continue to maintain. Lolol Back home.
Anna had asked for a start of the water lilies from the front pond for a friend of hers. Well, we presented a picture I am sure... Both on our knees... rooting around in the pond up to our elbows in the water...trying to find some new shoots.. When I first put them babies out there, I was off balance and fell into the pond but my head hit the far side. Had the purtiest black eye you ever did see... I really was cute. LOL Told Anna I would NOT try to get any of the lilies out if nobody was there to keep an eye on me.
I finally had to put chicken wire over the pond to keep the deer from eating all the lilies. They wiped out the lotus before I realized how much the deer liked them.
Let's see here... what else? Oh, the pups! They're in bed right now, thank goodness. They are more than double the trouble I've had with Homer... lolol Homer has taken over the baby-sitting and the rounding up and keeping them away from the road. When Tim, the mailman, pulled into the driveway, Homer chased the little ones into the house... (I leave the front storm door open and spend most of the day in the living room right now)
Trying sumfin different with this copy... Instead of writing it on FB, I've gone to a ‘word' system. We'll see how this works. Take care all of mine; go in safety always. Remember to do your duty! Vote! It's really important to keep our freedoms.
Many hugs; much love and lots of laffter everyday. Meems, the TerMOMinator
