Another beautiful sunny day yesterday. High of 63. Just delightful. The next 3 days are to be 61, 61 and 65. I hope we are over the hump now, and Spring is on it's way. Hope your day goes well. God Bless.
Sunday was such a lovely sunny day, I decided to take another ride out on the back roads of my area of Kentucky. The temp hit a high of 62, and you could just smell Spring in the air. The grasses are greening up, some home gardens have been plowed up already, and it was just a perfect day. There was little traffic on the roads, which made my drive even better.
I stopped at Long John Silvers for a quick bite to eat. Got the 2 piece fish with hush puppies. Instead of the french fries though, I asked to substitute more hush puppies. Normally they give you only 2 in place of the fries, but this guy gave me 4. Was I surprised, but very happy. I love hush puppies. With my hunger satisfied & my thirst quenched with a pink lemonade, I resumed my nice peaceful and leisurely drive.This one was only for 3 hrs. instead of the 6 hrs. I drove 2 Sundays ago, but it was nice and not as tiring.
I guess I did a good job of recharging my batteries for the upcoming week. The drive was nice, but it was also good to get back home.

Took my neighbor to the heart doctor yesterday ( after getting lost), almost ran out of gas....my 'low gas' warning light came on & I drove many many miles before finally finding a gas station.
Tried to food shop at WalMart in London,KY, but it was so crowded, I couldn't even find a parking spot. Went to Big Lots & bought a few things there. Went to Krogers and bought some things there. Finally got home around 6:30 PM. I was exhausted. At least it was a beautiful sunny day...but the constant wind made it feel colder than the 45 degrees it was.
I got a very good sleep last night/this morning. Slept in my recliner until 8:30 AM, and had no back pain. I've been getting up between 4-6 AM when I sleep in bed or the couch. This may be the way to go until these darn things get better.
The only thing my doctor suggested to help relieve the spasms, are a series of back exercises. I do not take muscle relaxers, so that was out of the question. Normally, these go away by themselves. I'm sure the cold damp weather doesn't help. Never had them when I lived in Florida.
Spring is just around the corner. Going to be 45 today and sunny all day. Hooray.
Had another stressful night with my back spasms. Had to sleep on the couch instead of my bed. I don't understand why these come and go as they do. Oh well. Low to mid forties today and tomorrow, followed by low to mid fifties on Sat and Sun. All of these days will be free of rain or snow. All partly cloudy, except for a sunny day on Sat.
I'm glad the roads are good as I will be driving a resident here at the my apt. to a doctors in London. She has upcoming knee surgery, and her heart doctor needs to make sure she's up to the task.
This Winter has been the worst since I've lived here in Kentucky. I remember 3 yrs. ago, my Bradford Pear trees were in beautiful white bloom in February.....Everyone has 'cabin-fever' and can't wait for consistently warmer weather to make it's way to these hills and hollers.
Only going to 35 today, but it gets progressively better as the week goes on. 40's on Friday, 50's Saturday and Sunday and finally in the 60's again by next Monday. I can take that. Hope you are well and your weather is not very bad.
Well, more snow showers today and tomorrow. Mid 30's today, almost 40 for high tomorrow. Spring...where for art thou? Can't wait to see the trees budding out and the flowers popping through the ground. The Robins have returned several weeks ago. It shouldn't be too far away.
It's going to be in the low 40's today, and believe it or not, NO rain and NO snow. That will be a welcome change. Hope all is well where you are located. God Bless.
This is another picture of my little darlin'. In the mornings when I'm trying to get ready for work she is ready to play. I'm trying to get dressed and she's tugging at my clothes. It's a run for my money to get out the door on time. Did I mention everyone else was asleep this morning while Gigi was tearing up a piece of paper all over the house as I was walking out the door. Sounds like hubby (Winterdog) has his hands full while I'm at work! lol!
Had a really beautiful Sunny and warm day - 64 degrees - yesterday. I took advantage of it and got in my car and just traveled all over the Kentucky side roads. Stopped at a small restaurant and got a nice Chicken dinner, and headed back out again. You could tell the break in weather affected people, as everyone I met seemed so happy. Happy for the nice warm sunshine and almost balmy weather. I spent 6 hrs.just driving. It almost felt like I was on a mini-vacation. It was just so nice with all the new sites I was seeing and the great weather. It is such a pleasure driving in my old Buick with the windows open, breathing in the fresh country air. There was not a lot of traffic on any of the side roads I traveled, making it even that much better.

This is Maggie, my granddaughter at her first birthday party. Looks like she's saying, "How much did this cost?" Or maybe, "Can I eat this?" There's a slideshow on my page if you have time to come see it...
It seems that I blinked and it's your Birthday again lol..I guess it must be true when they say "time just flies by when you're having fun" lol.. I must be having a ball! lol..
