Good morning. Happy Sunday. It is about 49°F which is only five degrees warmer than yesterday but it felt warmer than that. I wouldn't go so far as to say I felt like going down the beach and do some dipping in the water but it made an acceptable exercise protocol. I went to Walmart yesterday. Not necessarily on an emergency assignment but there were a couple of items I felt like getting. I then remembered that I had only one egg remaining in the refrigerator and decided on making the purchase rather than having an emergency on Monday morning. The eggs were a prohibitive price, about $3.66 a dozen. The price has risen rapidly in the last couple of weeks. I then noticed an article on the Internet that some chickens had developed Salmonella which I suppose they had to destroy the chickens, and supply and demand could affect and wreck my wallet. In either case, it was about an hour later than I usually go to Walmart and so consequently I was able to view some people there for entertainment purposes. Not as good as the afternoon or early evening but something to do to pass the time and get my money's worth. I shall entertain myself today watching football and trying to get rid of some of the recordings on my DVR so I am not at 98% capacity on Monday morning when my talk shows have to be recorded. Outside of that, I have nothing planned. It is supposed to be warmer today than it was the last couple of days. I believe about 79° F. Considering the high temperatures have only been in the sixties lately, it will be an improvement. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings this Saturday morning. Opening the day at 45*F heading to 68*. Felt somewhat cool this morning on the walk. I got the lawn done yesterday. Hopefully for the final time this year. Nothing planned for today except church later in the afternoon. There was an emergency stop this morning at the convenience store for bananas. As I entered the store I was humming the song about the lack of bananas, YES WE HAVE NO BANANAS, by Louis Prima. I am certain you remember him. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy LABOR DAY. 51* out this morning. When I started the walk, the sky was clear and one could see every star in this quadrant, the Alpha Quadrant. By the time I ended my journey, it was cloudy and fog started to come in. Not certain of an agenda but I will probably take the bike out for something to do. Game time decision. I may go to the shrine. I don't think I went there this year. Laziness. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Happy Labor Day Eve as I am certain most women know how that is. I am behind on the calendars. I got caught up with the football games yesterday so the day was non existent. I went out this morning to 61* although a temp gauge on the walk said it was 69*. I thought that had to be wrong as it felt cooler. Clear night enabled me to count all of the stars in the galaxy, well at least this quadrant. It was so nice that when returning to the Fortress I got out a chair and sat outside for a while with a continuation of counting the stars, I did not finish while on the walk, and I like to see rocks from space hit the Earth. The other day I secured some bananas, about a dozen. The problem was/is they are green. I am trying to ripen them but to no avail so far. Thus, no bananas this morning, or in the near future, unless I go and buy some at the store. Since it is a new month, I have to start the count on purchases anyway so maybe I shall. Have a good Sunday. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings. Cool out this morning. Walking up to my house after my tribulations, a bat almost hit me in the face. About a foot from me. Calendar page day. I have a lot on my plate........ 3 calendars. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. A storm came through last night. I did not think it was too bad but the hole they dug in the park to help the sewer system filled up. And then on the walk, a bunch of construction signs tipped over. And some action at the neighbor's house. I did not think the storm was a big thing but it took a big branch down smashing the neighbor's new fence. And overnight, having to hold the electrical pole up. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. I am using the clothes washer a little right now. Looks like I will also have to use the dryer as I am expecting rain. Yesterday I mounted a safari to the store in a different quadrant of the galaxy. I secured the coffee and some other things I usually buy there. I am trying some 100% Colombian coffee. A little more expensive but I was curious. Tastes pretty good. One side to it is being able to speak Spanish after drinking it. I did get ripped off for $9 but rectified the situation later. I went to church and was able to forgive them.......... after they gave me the money back! I have nothing planned for today but may venture to church. Game time decision. The woman who does the reading on Thursday has a raspy voice and I suffer through her reading and psalm. Have a good day. There may be more on the adventure of washing clothes later but I doubt it. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
GOOD MORNING. Everything is under control today with some things being remedied. I went with coffee this morning and decided to try 100% Columbian. Now I am speaking Spanish after that. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Sunday has arrived and so has this writer. My emergency trip to Walmart has been completed. I am still low on coffee as that is for another store on the other side of the universe. I am aerating the fortress before closing it up for the day due to the excessive heat. I will be starting the fan for the first time in more than a week. With Labor Day being close, I put the fan away along with all of the white clothing. When I used to do serious dating, my girlfriends never understood the requirements and laws of the universe about wearing white. I think their reluctance is a genetic thing. Have a cool day as I shall not. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Saturday. September is coming. On my exercise this morning, I went past my former company I worked for and wondered how they could still be in business with me being gone. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. I threw out all of the Broccoli Florets as suspicion emanates they have caused this writer gas. Of course it could also be the tomatoes but I would be willing to suffer that. As a Catholic. I have to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Nothing planned for today. Maybe Mass, and then maybe........ Walmart. That is if I am already out and about or I would be going there right now. I am starting the day out at 54* and it felt rather cool on the trail of elation this morning. Labor Day is coming in the Colonies and people are putting away the whites and bringing out the parkas. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! Postscript: nervousness continues over the saga of the kitchen sink faucet.
Good morning. I scored a bunch of broccoli florets yesterday so I am in the process of having to eat them for the rest of the week. However, I did put a package of them in the freezer so hopefully they will be good when I want to eat some at a different time. I am pondering on going to Mass today. I have been lax on the daily Mass for the last couple of weeks. Game time decision in about 2 hours, give or take 37 seconds depending on when you translate this. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. On my exercise this morning, the sky looked really dark with a heavy cloud flavoring. I thought for certain I might get caught in the rain as I had not looked at a forecast before I embarked on my Odyssey. My second thought was my city was going to turn into London in a Sherlock Holmes movie filled with fog. That could still happen. I have just previewed the weather for the rest of the day. A slight possibility of rain around noon. This would be for a couple of hours and then back to the cloudy weather again until 5:00 PM. Fortunately I have nothing on my schedule for today. I have fulfilled my requirements of the attendance at Walmart for the week. The only thing that is on my calendar for today is church, and that is at about 4:00 PM. Not my favorite day of the week for church as the priest gets verbose when giving his homily. In either case, we are getting ready for Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer. People can turn off their air conditioning and put away their white clothing for the year. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
