Good morning. Happy Black Friday. People are not as excited as in the past when some people at Best Buy would be in a tent 3 or 4 days before the event on the sidewalk. Now people use their computers to shop. The glory is gone. Even now, some stores come out before opening and on a limited quantity, they hand out tickets for the item to the first 25 people, or whatever. The thrill of rushing into the store and engaging in a fist fight or trampling someone is not there. The good old days.......... The walk this morning was cool to say the least. 19* with a chill of 4*F. Tomorrow should be single digits and it is not even winter yet. Brings back the memories of 2017, December, the furnace breaking down and the furnace authorities informing this writer he needs a new one. Happy Thanksgiving. I trust you recovered from BIG WEDNESDAY. I got an early start on the walk this morning. 2 AM. It was cold even though it was in the 20s. Maybe the moisture, and the wind. It really seemed cold walking north into the wind. I decided to go to Walmart for a piece of ham. As I neared the destination, the store was dark and the parking lot empty. It was closed!!! I thought of going on their website last night to see if they were abandoning all of the customers but time passed and so did the thought. I ended up going to a different store, and instead of getting the ham, I opted for a fresh pork loin filet, dry rubbed with garlic and herb, but it will take 1 hour in the oven. Good morning. It is 20* with a windchill of 11*F. I think it is supposed to get up to 34* later. I have not seen the sun in a long time and fear it has thrown the Earth out of the rotation and we have become a rogue planet hurtling through space at two hundred thousand miles an hour. It felt cold this morning. Fortunately I dressed for it. I am thinking of going to Church this morning. Game time decision. If I do, I shall most likely go to the store. Hello. 40* on the walk this morning. No slippery spots, so a pleasant walk if not for the wind. There will be no sun today as I suspect something happened to the sun. Maybe it was hurled out of the solar system by some mysterious happening. Going for a high of 42*. I did make an unexpected cameo at Walmart yesterday.... in the afternoon. I wanted to see how the other people lived and exceeded expectations. Nothing planned for today. Good morning. Yesterday, an unpleasant surprise. Chocolate milk price was increased. I did not notice it until I was checking out. I always do self-service as I do everything individually for the sake of my bank. I had to go twice to Walmart. I somehow was ahead of schedule because of the early start and arrived at the store at 5 AM instead of 6 AM. So the price increase was one more thing in life to worry about for 5 minutes. It rained all night but stopped by the time of my departure for the exercise protocol. I got out a little before 3:00 AM. It had warmed up to 58* so I was over-dressed since it has been in the lower 30s. No rain but it was misting on and off the last mile and a half of the journey. I got into the house and it started raining hard, however it did not last long. I think it is going to end in one hour. I have nothing planned for today, maybe church. Have a good day.
