Good morning. It is 45* heading to 75* later. Cool on the exercise this morning. Decided to jog it to keep warm. I have to get to a store, most likely the Walmart later. I wish they would start keeping it open 24/7 again. All of our stores were open all the time. I hope everyone got all of their calendar pages changed yesterday. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Ready for the drive-in theater. We got caught a couple of times.
Good morning. It was 55* for the walk this morning, heading to 65* later. Breaking the 80* weather. It was tough walking into the wind. Not cold but fighting against it. It would have been better for me to take the Northern route this morning if I knew of the wind. Yesterday was a good day. I took a ride downtown to check out Octoberfest. I rode around a little on the bike downtown. This is a college town so the downtown area is big for drinking. Bigger years ago, as was the Octoberfest crowd and the partying. Laws passed to inhibit the fun but my point of view is biased from the standpoint of a single person who was always in the parties. Nothing today. Maybe church. Game time decision. Of course, the changing of the calendar pages. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Saturday. Another nice day yesterday as I got out and about. Tuesday it will be turning cold. It will be October. Today, nothing scheduled. Maybe if ambition hits, I will go out and try to find the dead dinosaur I killed in my house and then threw on one of the neighbor's lawn this morning. I tried to find it at 4:30 when returning from my excursion, but it was too dark. I hate to put myself on Front Street in the daylight but I should get rid of it on city property. Of course most people would treat it as a Viking funeral and burn it on a bonfire in a boat on the water but that is not this writer. I like to do the proper thing. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Happy HUMP DAY. I went out for the walk this morning to a pleasant 50*. The high is heading for 77* so it should be a nice day to sit in the house on the computer keeping track of the Court TV cases and sports talk shows. On the walk this morning, I mused about the absence of the newspaper carriers and how I had to be vigilant of their vehicles coming down the street and putting this walker in danger. I like to walk in the streets. Some of them would even acknowledge this walker. They helped break the monotony of the walk of the miles of empty streets and the thought of ever seeing home again. In modern times it has been adults doing the deliveries but in my earlier times it was the kids doing it. In 20 years people will not even remember the paper being delivered to the door of the reader. A bygone time which I miss already. I am glad I am retired because I do not know how I would get along without the paper at work, or if I stopped at a restaurant for breakfast, how could I eat??? Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
