Good day to you & hope all is well with you & yours. School started Thurs. with a lot of confusion & traffic. Glad I had water with me the heat index was 115 !. I was in it about 40 minutes as there was confusion in getting the kids dismissed on time . The school is full with 900 plus kids & this year having pre kinder kids of 4 & 5 year olds . Will take a bit to get leveled out.

This morning, my husband and I released two or our Queen Butterflies. They are very beautiful and my husband was able to take some very good pictures and videos of our two Queen Butterflies. By the way, they are both males!
Still in the hot weather all week in the 100's & have heat index up to 115. School is starting tomorrow & doing crossing guard again. Enjoy it chatting with the kids & parents & dodging cars. Enjoy the rest of the week.....George
Happy weekend to you . Really hot here with temps in 100's for several more days & heat index this weekend up to 112. Too hot to get out & walk so using exercise bike for awhile. School starting next week so know it's going to be hot standing there at the school crossing but going to have plenty of water ready. Enjoy your week & take care.......George

A very good day to you . Woke up to 83 degrees to start off this morning so going to get yard done as soon as the sun comes up . Hello hot weekend how are you ? We watched the fireworks from our house as they were at the golf course which is about 6 blocks from us. There was a bunch of them set off which generally indicates the last of display & we were wondering why the display seemed shorter this year & found out there was a malfunction that set them all off causing a grass fire but the fire dep't. put it out quickly as they were there on the scene . Got the yard done early yesterday before it got too hot . All this week to be high 90's. Have a great weekend........George
Yesterday John and I had 4 Monarch butterflies to release. John just said "4 on the 4th"! When John was filming the 1st butterfly release, he didn't realize his camera was on so when I was ready to release my 1st butterfly, he actually turned the recording off! Butterfly #1 and butterfly #2 flew away immediately. Butterfly #3 and #4 stayed for their photo opportunity!!
This morning I won the bet. John predicted that more Monarch chrysalises would eclose on July 4th. I thought more would eclose today. We had 10 chrysalises yesterday. Today there are only 4 left to eclose. All of the butterflies are female which is nice because most of my prior releases were male. The following video shows each butterfly being released! Some flew away immediately while others remained in our garden for a short time.
Starting the new month with typical July hot temps. Some of you will be really steaming. Our addition will have an annual parade where if you want you can paticipate & the kids decorate their bikes,wagons etc. goes to the park where there'll be hot dogs drinks & games. Always nice to associate with neighbors. Wishing you a good relaxing holiday & try to keep cool.......George

This morning John​ and I found our first butterfly of our current brood had eclosed. There are eleven more chrysalises left. After allowing the butterfly to dry its wings and rest, we released a beautiful, big male butterfly!

A happy weekend to you. Had great news yesterday from my oncologist that the blood work & CT scan was good so don't have to have another checkup for six months. The good lord still taking care of the old man.
When the wife & I had our anniversary she wanted to go to a place that prepared the food in front of you so I took her to Subway . That's when the fight started.........
Last evening John and I released our 3 butterflies. The 2 males were happy to be released and left quickly. The female stayed on my hand so I then put her on a nice flower so she could drink some nectar. She must have needed some nourishment because she stayed on the flower sipping away for quite a while. It was an enjoyable sight!
Welcome to another beautiful hot day. Looking at heat index up to 108 today . Hope your having a good week so far and not flooded like some areas. John and I had the pleasure of visiting the Trevi Fountain. As you can see, the fountain area was packed but John was still able to get a few pictures!
