It is a beautiful day in southwest Louisiana so John and I had breakfast on the patio so that we could enjoy the view. While we were relaxing, a male monarch butterfly was enjoying sipping nectar from our flowers. We think, possibly, that it was the male we released a few days ago. It is the only monarch butterfly that we've seen in our yard so we thought he was in search of a female.
Hello my friend & hope all is well . Had a strong storm come in last night with a light show,sound effects with 2 1/2 in. rain . Clearing today but more rain for all of next week . hope it gets dry enough to cut the yard .Tornado touched down about 30 miles N.W. of us causing some damage & flooding around the area.Sure hope you miss any bad stuff.Enjoy your weekend & take care....George
Our second Monarch butterfly eclosed this morning. We I managed to take pictures and videos of this event. Our male butterfly was not in a hurry to leave our yard and relaxed on our ligustrum tree. Shortly after its release, we had an unexpected rain shower and we were worried about the butterfly's survival during this unexpected rain shower. The sun is now shining and my little butterfly came out of hiding and just flew to our orange tree and is safe and healthy! Maybe it will find the female we released a few days ago.
Happy May day & here we go to another month. I guess everyone is getting nice warm weather now. Mid to high 80's here with everything blooming beautiful & even getting humming birds coming in. Enjoy the rest of the week my friend...............George

Woke up to a big full moon this morning & going to be a nice clear weekend. Got all the yard work done yesterday so taking it easy for the weekend with a cook out today. Hope your weekend is a good one & enjoy it.......George
Good day my friend & hope the week is doing well for you. We're standing by waiting for a strong storm that is predicted with wind hail & rain. We shall see as the forecasters seem to hype things up sometimes . So sad to see the destruction on the Notre Dame Cathedral. May you have a blessed good Friday........George
Good day to you . Maybe a little rain today turning warm & clear for the rest of week. My arm is still pretty sore & will take a good while to get healed completely. Think I will have a scar there though. Told my granddaughter I might get a tattoo there & she said get one with flames. Ha Ha. Going to take it easy this weekend & enjoy it.
