Good morning and happy Sunday. I looked out the window and it is dark. But the thing is it is not snowing as of yet. It is 24°so that is a good thing. I have a couple of days where it will not be too cold. Monday night we shall go below zero although not by much. I believe -1°. I am nearing the end of February fairly soon. That is a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is I move towards spring. The bad thing is I have my dental appointment in an approximately nine days and 3 hours. It is the semiannual checkup where a couple of women from the Gestapo torture me. I shall persevere. I would assume I shall come down with my various illnesses before the appointment and then miraculously have them disappear a little before 9:00 AM of the appointment.
I managed to activate my motor vehicle yesterday and accomplished a few things. I actually feel like total freedom this morning. I purchased some new rechargeable batteries and a mouse with a cord for backup. I probably will never need that but it gives me a safety net. Without going into all of the extraneous things that go into this, I have a feeling of comfort and safety with the purchase of the new batteries. And of course I went to the grocery store and purchased most items that I really did not need. I have been trying to work on my freezer, eating the food in there.
I leave you now with the knowledge that the weekend is almost over and we will get back to real life. Monday is almost here. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning on this Saturday morning. Another cold one this morning, -3°as of this writing. However, rumors are circulating that for the next two days we shall get 25°. What is more impressive to me is that at night it will only go down into the positive numbers, maybe 13°. I shall be able to turn off my dripping hot water in the shower without fear of the water freezing up. I am highly hopeful, and I expect to, activate my motor vehicle and get out and about today. It has been a week since I have activated the motor vehicle. And since I am planning on using it for church later today, I may as well take advantage and circulate to some areas where I can hear people having a dialogue. I was able to engage in some conversation yesterday at the movie theater at the box office. But of course that person was being paid to engage me.
Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning on this Friday morning. I'm undecided about going to the theater today. I was planning on going but the more I think of my selection, I am less certain. It will be a game time decision in approximately 4 1/2 hours, give or take 4 minutes. In either case, the weather is back to normal. It is 0°at 4:00 AM. A windchill of -17°. I do not expect it to get too warm today. If I'm fortunate, maybe 12°. And then we shall have this happening all over again tonight. I'm convinced this will never end.
Hopefully you had a good Valentine's Day yesterday. I was able to get out for a constitutional around the neighborhood. I shall be activating my motor vehicle tomorrow for my usual Saturday agenda for this time of year. Once I get the car of the garage, I become mobile. I shall actually get out and listen to people talking. My highlight of the day yesterday, besides my constitutional around the neighborhood, was being involved in the recyclables. I had enough in my garbage can to warrant my participation. Whatever!
Have a good day. My countdown continues toward the big decision of the day, to be or not to be at the theater. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. We had a snowstorm yesterday and it looks like most of the fun is finished. I suppose overall we had a little over a foot of snow. I went out to shovel yesterday the first time. That was a hassle as I was shoveling about 10 inches of snow. The next two times were just a little cleanup except that the plow came through and I had to dig out from that. I have been looking out my window this morning. It is still dark and so it is difficult to analyze how much shoveling will have to be done today. It usually gets daylight about 7:00 AM. I would imagine I will open up the door and use the shovel about 9:00 AM this morning. The plow will be coming through to plow the street one more time to clean up and that will completely block the opening to the street. That will take a little work. And whoever is plowing my alley shall also create something I have to shovel. If plow would not be coming through the alley I would not have to shovel behind the garage at all. Overnight it got someone cold. About 11°. I believe it is going to warm into the twenties today, and then tomorrow, about 33°before we go back to the cold temperatures again. Eventually this will be just a dream.
Tomorrow of course is Valentine's Day. It is good not to have the storm on that day so that people can get out and about to celebrate Valentine's Day. And people can also get to the store to buy something for their Valentine. So in advance I am wishing everyone a happy Valentine's Day. Outside of my trips outside today to shovel, I shall remain sequestered in my Fortress Of Solitude. I could make an exception if it is not slippery to do a constitutional around the neighborhood. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
