JAN 11, 2013, UPDATE! wellmygoodness hello dear friends.....i guess i best change my page....valentines day is just around the corner....my news today is not good....i lost my pops....but he is not suffering nomore...when i get things around here i will be back....hugs and love

DEC.22, update on pops: pops is back at the skilled nursing rehab center for right now....hes very confused and starved.....starved is a good sign....donot know how long he will be here as they are treating wound care and we have 2 new areas on his left heel and two toes.....am kind upset as there is hardly any circulaton in his lower limbs due to peripheral vascular disease..am looking at another trip back to the hospital for him, so am going to take today off after i feed him his breakfast from waterburger, which he wants..:)..i will feed him and be there as they are bathing him and home i come until christmas eve and try to get some much needed rest.....why i am staying for the bedbath as the other day they were getting him ready for the day, and i felt they were tossing him around like toss salad and he was in much great pain.....:(......to fragile and frail for that....it could be me as i am tired, and to me he needs to be handled with care even thou he is sleeping from the pain meds and he partial opens his eyes and moans..well am going for now......am going to take a little nap before i get ready for the day....this will most likely be my last visit until after christmas....

UPDATE: I HAVE HAD A LONG WEEK SINCE POPS WAS ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL AGAIN!! DUE TO BLOCKAGE OF RIGHT LEG ARTERIES. THE DOCTOR REMOVED HIS LEG 5" BELOW THE KNEE..WE ARE GOING ON 60 HOURS SINCE HE WAS IN THE OPERATING ROOM....THIS MORNING THEY WILL BE GETTING HIM UP...THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT SENDING HIM BACK TO THE SKILLED NURSING AREA OF THE REHAB CENTER FOR WOUND CARE...IT WILL MAKE IT A BIT EASIER FOR ME TO BE WITH HIM, AS WE ARE 3 MINUTES TO THE NURSING HOME.....THEN FROM THERE I WILL BRING HIM BACK HOME......

HAPPY MONDAY AND WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEEK WE ARE GOING TO HAVE....
GOSH THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRETTIES AND COMMENTS YOU HAVE PUT ON MY PAGE THE PAST FEW MONTHS AND DAYS ETC.....I HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW MANY.....
I FINALLY GOT MY POPS, HUBBY HOME FROM THE SKILLED AREA OF THE NURSING HOME....WHEW WHAT A FRIGHT AND OVERWHELMING DAYS WE HAVE GONE THRU......WE HAVE ALL KINDS OF HELP FROM THE VA FOR SUPPLIES....SOUTH TEXAS MEDICAL SUPPLIES FOR EQUIPMENT FOR HIM....2 RN'S COMING TWICE A DAY FOR WOUND CARE AS THE SORES ARE STAGE 3 AND 4...ALSO 2 PROVIDERS TO HELP WITH HIM FOR BATHS AND PREPARING A HOT MEAL ONCE A DAY FOR US, WASHING ETC.....ALSO HELP FOR ME FOR VITALS AND BATH HOMEHEALTH COMES 3 DAYS AWEEK, THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND YES MY DAUGHTER AND HER HUBBY ARE HELPING RUNNING FOR FOOD AND MEDICINE AND ANYTHING WE NEED...
I SO HOPE AND PRAY YOU ALL HAD A BLESSED THANKSGIVING, YUM THE TURKEY AND GRAVY WAS GOOD..
MUST RUN AS I MUST MAKE OUT A MENU FOR 7 DAYS SO TO HAVE IT READY BY NOON...YOU ALL HAVE A LOVELY DAY..SORRY NO PINK AND PRETTY PEARLS FOR YOU AS I FORGOT HOW TO DO IT...HUGS AND LOVE JALEE
