I like action, drama, zany or screwball comedies, classic films, what my husband calls
"Chick Flicks" any movie that makes me cry and the assorted thriller.
I have too many favorites to list but I'll say -
The Princess Bride
All the Mel Brooks comedies except Life Stinks.
That movie should have been called This Stinks!
Star Wars IV to VI
Star Trek movies
All the Indy movies (Indiana Jones)
Moonstruck
Million Dollar Baby
Braveheart
The Quiet Man
Top Hat
Robin of Sherwood
Captain Blood
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness and lots more

I probably have one of the most eclectic playlists on an iPod anyone could have.
My 29 year old son leant me all his CDs three years ago, after my husband and 2 grown sons gave me a 30 gb video iPod.
Well, I've run out of room. Not only did I put about 3/4 of his music on my iPod, but I also put all the music that I had on my computer in the ten years I've used one. Since then, I've bought lots more. I like all kinds of music.
I don't really like rap, but hip hop grew on me.
Since I'm a "child of the '60's, I have lots of music from that era, and lots of soundtracks, both from Broadway and from the movies.
I have lots of folk music. I was a folkie/hippie in my youth and I sang and played the guitar somewhat semi-professionally.

My 3 favorite books are: Lightning, by Dean Koontz, The Velveteen Rabbit, by Marjorie Williams
and Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
I read these authors avidly:
Jeffery Deaver, John Sanford, Kay Hooper, Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell, Tammi Hoag, Tess Gerritsen and Nevada Barr.
I am always on the lookout for new authors.
Most of the author's whose works I read write thrillers or murder mysteries in which the story continues in each successive book.

Today is my 60th birthday. I have no reccolection of how I got to be sixty. I am having a problem with it. It's been messing with my head a little.
Y'see, I remain 19 in the back of my head, where it is 1968 with all kinds of things happening - and the soundtrack is The Beatles and Sgt. Pepper; The Moody Blues and Days of Future Passed; and Joan Baez!

Well, I'm 60 - I've been married to my husband for 31 years and we have two grown children.
I have been officially disabled since 2000 with crippling arthritis. Bah! on that. ;o)
We have a feisty little 16 month old Cairn Terrier named Constable Hamish MacDuff, but we call him Duffy and two cats: our black cat, Chloe O'Brien who is 2 and 1/2 and our black and white cat, Cleo Bloom, who is nearly one year old.
Duffy is the seventh dog we've had in our 31 years of marriage.

I like light houses, staying in houses down the shore in LBI, New Jersey, watching sunsets with my husband, reading books and magazines and catalogs. I get a lot of catalogs because I only shop online. I can get out of the house, but it logistically a bear, so I'm home almost all the time.
I like watching TV - 24, Law&Order:CI, NCIS, Burn Notice, The Closer, Saving Grace, Medium and CSI:NY

I don't like liars, in real life or in politics.
I hate intolerance and hate crimes and hate speech.
I don't like the exploitation of children or women in the world and I hate war and violence.
I don't like phony people.

Reading, music, watching TV and DVDs.
Caring for my pets. I collect cookbooks - I like every kind of cookbook, no matter how obscure the topic, and I really enjoy collecting regional cookbooks - the kind published by PTAs and Firehouses, or the women's auxillary of the local hospital. You know - fund raiser cookbooks.
I like them because I find that the recipes in them are the things that people actually cook for their families all over our country and throughout the world.
