I like movies that give me something to think about.
My late husband liked his action movies and so we watched many.
I like musicals, action, and comedies.

I love classical music,
Broadway hits,
Spiritual,
and my three favorites are:
Angels Among Us, Dreamin' and the Ave Maria.
Although I just plain love most music.

I just love to read.
My favorite books are:

I Sit Listening to the Wind

The Bible,

Poetry,
Various literature,
History
Inspirational
and various types of children's stories.

I love soft tones:
lavender, earth brown, green,
light blue.

Italian, Mexican and Polish.
Truthfully,
I like just about any type of food.

My date and time is now.

I was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., to immigrant parents.
My mother came from Poland and my father
worked on ships sailing the Atlantic from Holland.
I also have two older sisters,
My family was very religious and I attended parochial schools.
At fourteen I entered the convent where I became a nun for twenty years.
When I left in my early thirties I moved to Las Vegas, NV.

Educationally, I attended Fordham University in the Bronx where I received a Bachelors in Education and began teaching.
Here in Las Vegas, I continued my education and received my Masters from the University of Las Vegas.
My life centered around teaching and I fell in love with the classroom and childdren.

Around forty a wonderful police officer was teaching children a Crime Prevention program and before I knew it I fell in love with him.
We were married for 22 years, and five years ago he died of lung and colon cancer. I went through deep depression, but, I had a little boy who is really my gr.gr.nephew in my life (he called me grandma) for all of his nine years brought me to realize that I need to be there for him as he helped me to find my way back out of darkness. Today, I'm back in the schools and it is kinda my 'home'
I just plain love the classroom and I love children.

Nature

The ocean, the mountains and the desert bring me tremendous peace and inner feelings. My deep love is for animals and I am on my 13th cat and also had two dogs.
Two spoilt cats left - See My Slideshow.

I am definitely against anyone who abuses children and animals.

I do not like loud music, and language that is intended to use God's name, or show disrespect towards others.
When I see people suffering it deeply affects me.

Teaching is really today a hobby for me. I volunteer for anything to do with school.
I also am involved with my genealogy and have gone back into the 1700's and 1800' with both my Dutch and Polish family.
Totally amazing what one can find.
I also love to read,
I learned in the convent to do just about any type of
crocheting, knitting, embrodiery, cross stitch..etc...
