I like mostly "guy" movies but not those gory "slasher" movies or the noisy, violent blow-everything-up kind (you know, another Bruce-Willis-saves-the-world movie):
My favorite is Tolkien's Lord of The Rings. Didn't Peter Jackson do a great job with them? I'm really looking forward to the upcoming two Hobbit movies. Hope I live to see them!
Cute ones (shhh, "chick flicks") like Pretty Woman, Dave, American President, Sleepless In Seattle, National Lampoon's Vacation, While You Were Sleeping, Groundhog Day, A Christmas Story, and Home Alone are just a few of my favorites.
Quality spy movies like The Bourne series, Three Days of The Condor, Day of The Jackal, Eye of The Needle, The Rheineman Exchange (outstanding cast!), Reilly: Ace of Spies (best of all).
Then, of course, you just gotta love those quirky boys like Buffalo Bill (Silence...Lambs), the Tooth Fairy (Manhunter), Casanova (Kiss The Girls), Ted Bundy (Deliberate Stranger), and the others in movies like The Bone Collector, and The Cell. And don't forget little mommy's boy, Normie Bates, in PSYCHO! Most exciting ending? Watch the thrilling end of Manhunter with the song "In A Gadda Da Vida" and scary 6'5" Tom Noonan as the maniacal "Tooth Fairy" on the loose. Wow! (Btw, Manhunter is the earlier version of Red Dragon).

I enjoy everything except rap and bagpipes (what is up with those noisy things?)

BOOKS
As you can probably guess by my username I really love the 1920s Dr Dolittle books by Hugh Lofting - I'm not really a doctor! I am an avid collector of his works. And I must say that Eddie Murphy's Dr D was a poor substitute for the original Doctor Dolittle!
I also love everything Tolkien: Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion, etc.
I am currently reading "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee," by Dee Brown. It is tragic what we "European Americans" did to our aboriginal people all in the name of "Manifest Destiny."
