Good morning on this Tuesday morning. I have remained sequestered in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE with the exception of a brief constitutional around my neighborhood yesterday. And even that was a shortened version. It is somewhat slippery as the snow had a lot of water in it and it froze. It actually created big chunks of ice when the snowplow came through and made it difficult to clear a path. I survived but I don't think my mailman thinks that I have done a very good job around my mailbox. I only need one piece of mail from him this month, and then of course next month the tax paperwork comes. And of course some private snowball operator caused me some aggravation in the alley by my garage. I have things rectified enough for my private use.
I was thinking of going on safari to the grocery store today. However, I received an e-mail from UPS advising me my package shall be delivered today. I would like to be home for it as I believe it contains a battery and I do not want it left in the cold weather too long. It must have become common knowledge that I'm expecting this package as yesterday when taking my mini constitutional, people were smiling and waving and thinking good thoughts of this writer. In either case, excitement is at a premium waiting for this package.
I leave you now with the knowledge that I am in my Ready Room, listening to the stereo, and drinking the bad coffee. All of this while I compose my communiques. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
The Temple of Wat Samphran is in Thailand, not my back yard
HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT NEW WEEK. WELL UPPER MAINE IS IN THE 40s WITH SOME RAIN NOT GOOD FOR DRIVEING TO NIGHT. AND YES AS YOU SEE I LIKE SNOWMEN. LOVE N HUGS WITH MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU ALWAYS MARGE
I was watching the launch this morning of the Soyuz MS-11 spacecraft. It amazes me how spartan the launch area is compared to the US where large audiences gather. Also, the passenger area in this craft is small, not fit to go too far. But they have a live feed in there and the passengers look really calm and not disturbed, compared to the early days of this. On the blast-off years ago, the G-force used to wreck havoc on the passengers. One guy is sitting with some kind of laptop or something like that as if he is in a coffee house. The place they launch this is some place called Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. It was interesting if you followed the space program from its inception in 1492 like I have.
Good morning on this Monday morning. I was up early this morning, around 2:00 AM. Considering I cannot go for exercise this morning due to the weather conditions, this will be a long day. It is even too early to make coffee. I went out and threw out the water. I suppose it is about 28°with a windchill of 20, but it does not seem that cold. Considering I was semi decent, I was able to sample the temperature. It would've been a good morning to go for my jog, but the roads and sidewalks will not cooperate as far as being slippery. I suppose it will take a couple of days for this writer to get back out there. If I get ambitious, perhaps a constitutional around the neighborhood later. I most likely will remain sequestered in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE.
Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
