Friday is here and the weekend is almost here again. What is happening in your world today?
We begin most days with a kiss from the sun!
Maybe we can find some shells along our journey today.
I love watching the clouds move in and seeing how different they are each day.
Or watching as the sun changes the colors of the sky as the daylight starts to fade.
The end of the day approaches and the sun starts to set and reflections take on a magical quality. Isn't the sun something wonderful and very hot this summer!
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Wanda-Marie, I pray YOU have a FULFILLINGLY FANTASTIC FRIDAY, and a FANTABULOUS WEEKEND to follow, my friend...
Hello there. Just a quick hello and hope you are enjoying your afternoon. I went to see my son and his girlfriend this morning. We went out to eat and then back to their apartment. She tried on the dress that she is getting married in and I helped her fix it where she could sew it so it will fit better. After I left I went to Walmart and got the things we needed, came home and put all the stuff away. Then I had to go to the pharmacy and pick up my pills. Just now getting my laundry going and have dishes to wash. Time flys by so quickly when you are visiting.Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs, Cheryl
Thanks for hanging in there with me for the last 4 months.
At the end of every day, it is always nice to come home and read your post/email and see what is happening in your world.
Now I know that you are glad I am your friend too. Have you ever been called normal? I am not sure any of us are normal or if we even know what that means anymore.
Come on now, let's go find something fun to get into together. I'll lead, unless you want to lead.
After all, what are friends for? And I'll share a secret with you...
Now you know as much as I do or as much as I can remember.
I know you're up to your eyeballs with everything going on in your world right now, so just read and (I hope) enjoy and I'll check bulletins to keep up with whatever you can post there.
Wow. With 80+ years of living in the same home, your MIL likely has an awful lot of accumulated items in her house. It was good to read that your daughter is now helping you to go through the house and get it ready to be sold. It's not easy to be doing this--not for her, nor you, nor your daughter--but you'll be able to pare down the sheer volume of stuff to only those things that really are special to your MIL and that still have meaning for her. I could stand to do more of that--shoot, we probably all could. Though there are people who have minimal stuff, they're kind of few and far between, don't you think? Yeah; me, too.
The local fair started today but as we're on our third day of triple-digit weather...I gave it a pass. It's supposed to cool down on Friday, so I may go see what people have entered, walk around a little and then scoot for home. There is little to no shade at the fairgrounds and I have never been able to tolerate the heat very well.
I got so disgusted with how long and drawn out summer has felt that I put away my red/white/blue stuff that was on my china cabinet and pulled out my autumn stuff and I'm hoping Mother Nature gets the hint and sends cooler, rainy weather our way. Do you think it'll work? Probably not, but I'm going to hope for it, anyhow!
I had a go-round with our dumb cluck of a rooster today. Dang bird kept coming at me and would not stop. I had the little rake I use to snag the eggs the hens lay under the far corners of the coop and pushed him away every time and eventually he gave up and wandered off. He's a mean ol' bird, but we need the stinkweed to protect our flock of hens from aerial predators. Ha, I told somebody else on the Hill that he'd better watch his P's and Q's or he'd go from being 'Cock-of-the-Walk' to 'Coq-Au-Vin'! I swear, Wanda...he stalks me. As I'm walking on the outside of the chicken fence, he paces along on the other side, just waiting for his chance to pounce. I'm not sure my hubby believed me when I complained about his rooster, but he actually saw him stalking me the other day. I like our hens, but that rooster.....he's another kettle of fish altogether (so to speak).
I've nattered on enough; you've got things to do and your MIL to nurture. Bless you for taking care of her as she becomes less able to take care of herself!! Sending prayers for strength, patience and a bottomless well of kindness, m'dear!!
Hi there. I hope this short note finds you doing well. Its another hot day here. In the mid 90's. I'm ready for it to cool off. But I've heard that September is going to be a hot month too. Oh well, it will soon cool off them I will be complaining about the cold. lol Not doing a lot these days. Just staying in where its cool. Take care my friend and many hugs to you. Cheryl
Thought I would share a picture of me on my last day at work!
Now it is Wednesday, and I am off to run errands. Hubby has a chiropractic appointment and is out of hearing aid batteries and milk. My car needs gasoline. Besides, we need to get out before the 100°+ temperatures are back. So enjoy your day!
Hi there. I hope you are enjoying your afternoon. Its a nice day here. How has your day been? Mine has been busy. Tired right now but no time for a lovely nap.Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs, Cheryl
How's your Tuesday morning so far, Wanda? I think I sense Autumn... am I dreaming? We're getting a hard rain outta nowhere; no lightning, thunder, just rain. How refreshing! Happy *hugs*:) -di
