Midnight Blue...it's always been my favorite crayon in the box.
MY FAVORITE FOOD
YES! I think it's easier just to list what I DON'T like, the list is so much smaller! But let's see...
Mexican, Italian, Chinese food; all are great with me...mashed potatoes and gravy, ice cream, raspberries, strawberries, cuppa tea, soft cookies, tomatoes fresh from the garden, milk chocolate, french toast, pies (banana cream's my favorite), carrot cake, meatloaf, clam chowder...I think I'd better stop thinking about food, it's making me hungry!
My name is Paula, and...if this is me in a nutshell...does that make me the nut?

NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS TO MY FRIENDS
ABOUT ME
I'm a small town gal, I'll visit the city but wouldn't want to live in one. I tend to like quiet pursuits and wish all my neighbors would do likewise! I love to talk with others one-on-one but feel lost in groups. I regularly exercise...my sense of humor. Married for 33 years (and counting) to Dennis. Have two grown children who wobble in and out of the nest (currently both are in).
WHAT I LIKE
Snowflakes falling softly down,
Nature dons a lacy white gown.
Ocean waves sweeping the sand
Tiny fingers on a baby's hand.
Flowers with a fragrance so fair
Reading a book, curled up in a chair.
Pussy willows and the purr of a cat
I am content when I have all of that.
--Paula
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Lies, rudeness, loud noises, slow traffic & crazy drivers, snobbery, cruelty, most commercials on TV, heights.
HOBBIES
Occasional pursuits are: embroidery, caligraphy, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles (prefer 1000 pieces or more), LOVE crossword puzzles and making Christmas ornaments. I indulge myself with words...puns and poetry...I play with both!
Reminder to self: worry is not a hobby, nor a useful occupation...
I name this one for a change.. I call it "Artistic Celebration" for it is honoring the arts.
My mother was a well known artist.. It rather brought it home this past little while when my brother Tom was staying in our regional hospital and on his floor near him were two of my Mom's paintings. When I wasn't sure what was going to happen to my brother somehow those paintings brought me comfort. Mom was painting yet when she went to the hospital that last time. She had just finished her final painting and signed it. Mom also was so great in writing, as in journalism but also was a playwright, she also did acting for the arts council, and she directed plays, was a makeup artist, and taught theater. Dad was very musical and sang from the time he was a young man and even until just before he passed away in 2005. Not far from where my brother was, on the same floor, I saw the last place Dad was before he went home to heaven. I don't mean to sound sad here. It was comforting really strange as it might be and so in honor of my parents who were such talents and blessings in my life I didn't get a photographer in this one but Dad was also a great freelance photographer, I was thinking of his music. Anyway although when it went to save some of the animation died a bit one never knows when doing a Blingee if it will work the way you see it until it saves. This one didn't but liked it well enough I decided to send it out anyway.
As for me well it will be another busy week with doctors visits for my brother all the rest of the week.. Tomorrow is filled then one in the afternoon on Thursday and still another one in the afternoon on Friday thus all week will have to go to Hays each day that is a lot of driving. But one expects that in NC Kansas in the middle of no where. :) But it kills the day.
