BOOKS

'Whipping Star' by Frank Herbert. Authors: Alistair MacLean, Dean Koontz, Louis L'Amour, Tony Hillerman, John Grisham, Piers Anthony, Nora Roberts.
Midnight Blue...it's always been my favorite crayon in the box.
MY FAVORITE FOOD
YES! I think it's easier just to list what I DON'T like, the list is so much smaller! But let's see...
Mexican, Italian, Chinese food; all are great with me...mashed potatoes and gravy, ice cream, raspberries, strawberries, cuppa tea, soft cookies, tomatoes fresh from the garden, milk chocolate, french toast, pies (banana cream's my favorite), carrot cake, meatloaf, clam chowder...I think I'd better stop thinking about food, it's making me hungry!
My name is Paula, and...if this is me in a nutshell...does that make me the nut?
This is me after my hair goes gray:
Otherwise...I'm a small town gal, I'll visit the city but wouldn't want to live in one. I tend to like quiet pursuits and wish all my neighbors would do likewise! I love to talk with others one-on-one but feel lost in groups. I regularly exercise...my sense of humor. Married for 33 years (and counting) to Dennis. Have two grown children who wobble in and out of the nest (currently both are in).
WHAT I LIKE
The ocean, the woods...I would live outdoors if it came with indoor plumbing! Crossword puzzles, card games, word games, dogs and cats, books, music, baking rather than cooking, lilacs, quietness, the smell of the world after it rains.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Lies, rudeness, loud noises, slow traffic & crazy drivers, snobbery, cruelty, most commercials on TV, heights.
I have no idea where this is, but I NEVER want to drive there!!
HOBBIES
I occasionally indulge myself with embroidery, caligraphy, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles (prefer 1000 pieces or more), LOVE crossword puzzles and making Christmas ornaments.
Reminder to self: worry is not a hobby, nor a useful occupation...
Hello PD Well so much for cleaning out the car again today. Washington weather is back. At least I got the laundry and part of the car cleaned out yesterday.
Don't have Merissa today, she came down with strep throat and her Mom is taking her to the DR. She didn't have any signs yesterday or I would have made her stay inside.
We haven't done any baking or messing with stuff. She's so thrilled I told her she could bring her bike and park it under my stairs so she'd have it when she got home from school. She's been out riding with a friend. She never gets to go outside and play. Come to think of it, maybe that's why she got sick. Too much fresh air.. lol I even had the doors and windows open. I do most of the time, even on cold days.
That cold snap we had the birds were better able to handle it because I do that. They are right beside the heater anyway, so they aren't that cold.
I finally got some sleep. A whole 6 hours one night and last night I got 7 hours. It was funny, I'd gone so long on 2 hours a night or none for so long that when I got a full 4 hours sleep, I awakened like I'd had a full 8. LOL Weird damn way to live. Like being in the Twilight Zone all the time. LOL That's why I was so cold. Barely eating and no sleep will do that to a body. I still say it's because I'd been sick for a long time and have been catching up on what I missed. LOL
Well Puney D, Sina Mae has to get her stumps moving. Still have curtains to put up at the sliding doors (^&*()_ ) what a pain to a cripple climbing a ladder to reach the darn hooks into the holes. Brecka Brecka dag-nabit, never a tall person around when you need one.
That and I have a bag of.. what the heck do I do with this stuff... from the car to deal with. (I still have some articles left over from my truck... the pack rat in me won't let me throw them away. Guess they have new friends. LOL)
You have a turkey tree.. I have a wall tree. I hang it on the wall and it's out of the way. LOL I made it last year for having a tree that Parker wouldn't destroy and the birds wouldn't tear apart when they were out. I liked it so much I'm doing it again this year. Lights and everything. I'll see if I can find a picture of it and show you. Great idea. I saw one in a book this year. Copy cats.. lol
Take it easy sing a few tunes for me. I'll put on Dr Demento's Twisted Christmas and just have me a sing along all by my lonesome. LOL Deck your...... with bows of holy ... la la la la la ... la la .. la ... la....
Hugs
Sina Mae Delbert (your long lost sister; home from the moonshine wars)
also known as Mengnu (that's my undercover name; and if you tell anyone, I'll have to hurt you... lol )
