Some pictures from my excursion to another land. I crossed the bridge successfully with no papers. The other pic is a barge pushing 8 containers, I think, through the locks. More on this at a later time. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Happy Sunday. It is about 49°F which is only five degrees warmer than yesterday but it felt warmer than that. I wouldn't go so far as to say I felt like going down the beach and do some dipping in the water but it made an acceptable exercise protocol. I went to Walmart yesterday. Not necessarily on an emergency assignment but there were a couple of items I felt like getting. I then remembered that I had only one egg remaining in the refrigerator and decided on making the purchase rather than having an emergency on Monday morning. The eggs were a prohibitive price, about $3.66 a dozen. The price has risen rapidly in the last couple of weeks. I then noticed an article on the Internet that some chickens had developed Salmonella which I suppose they had to destroy the chickens, and supply and demand could affect and wreck my wallet. In either case, it was about an hour later than I usually go to Walmart and so consequently I was able to view some people there for entertainment purposes. Not as good as the afternoon or early evening but something to do to pass the time and get my money's worth. I shall entertain myself today watching football and trying to get rid of some of the recordings on my DVR so I am not at 98% capacity on Monday morning when my talk shows have to be recorded. Outside of that, I have nothing planned. It is supposed to be warmer today than it was the last couple of days. I believe about 79° F. Considering the high temperatures have only been in the sixties lately, it will be an improvement. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings this Saturday morning. Opening the day at 45*F heading to 68*. Felt somewhat cool this morning on the walk. I got the lawn done yesterday. Hopefully for the final time this year. Nothing planned for today except church later in the afternoon. There was an emergency stop this morning at the convenience store for bananas. As I entered the store I was humming the song about the lack of bananas, YES WE HAVE NO BANANAS, by Louis Prima. I am certain you remember him. Have a reasonable day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
