This weather is the main topic for me. I am so tired of this hot and humidity!! Last Thursday or Friday as I can’t remember which, I was cleaning house and running the dust mop. I opened the closet door (which holds the water heater and H/AC unit) and I thought the floor looks like it is wet. Well sure enough it was!! Water was running out around the bottom of the unit. So I called (my daughter/son-in-law’s) business as they take care of it and Mike (Ronnie’s son) came to check it. He wasn’t sure what was causing the problem so he said he would talk it over with Dad and they would decide what to do. After sopping up water with towels over the weekend I called again this morning and was told that they were ordering a part which they thought was causing the problem and it would be here in a day or so. Can’t wait as I can’t leave home for long or water would be running all over the place. Such as it is with a house, apartment, or whatever there are always problems arising that are nothing but a nuisance or catastrophe. I mailed some longtime friends birthday cards this morning. Afraid one card is going to be a little late as I let the date slip up on me. Hope you are having a good day so far and it continues throughout the week.

Had a great time at the lake house with family. Unfortunately the fish weren't biting but we played a lot of games, ate good food, and just relaxed. Had a good fireworks show and of course the kids had fun popping the smaller ones.
It's been HOT since we got home but they are predicting "cool" weather tomorrow only 88"s! Supposed to rain too. Weird for here in my part of Texas. Hasn't happened yet though. Today is lower 90's, no wind and very humid. I have lots of flowers blooming and my crinum lilies are spectacular! Some of the bloom stalks are as tall as me! HAGO! Stay cool/warm. HUGS, Suzie
rain rain rain.........all of the 4th holiday, though there were still quite a few fireworks going off around the neighborhood......we just stayed in and we each did our thing, either reading watching tele or putz on the computer......my husband grilled steak, had potato salad and a veggie........was real good.....today i went to work only to get sent home due to the lack of children at the preschool........me and several others went home......thats okay didnt mind at all, sure the others didnt either.........tomorrow back to the usual work day....working with pre schoolers this week, next week vacation.........hoping all had a great holiday weekend.......sending much peace, love and blessings......carolyn

Hello my friend! It has been wonderful here in my part of Texas the last few days. Lower temps and much needed rain. Over 3"s has fallen here at my house. Wanted to let you know that I will be at the lakehouse 7/2-7/6. No computers out there! Going to eat and swim and fish and play with my grandkids and shoot and watch the fireworks. Get caught up on my "people" game playing while I'm there. (We always play a lot of games, cards and dominos and such.) My youngest son, Jason, will be doing most of the cooking so JOY!

Much appreciated. Hope you are doing well and staying cool/warm. Jill, my daughter, is due in today from 3 weeks in China (her job takes her there.) Looking forward to giving her a BIG hug!
