Good morning. Going to be another hot one today. Tomorrow, a day of cooling. It does not pay for me to aerate the house. The difference in the temp between outside and inside is about 2*. In years past, I could cool the house down overnight. I guess one can look at it as not bad compared to my neighborhood in a billion years. The average temp will be 1500* F. Postscript: yesterday when I went out for the walk, insects were attacking me all the way, culminating in this writer swallowing a gnat close to home and going through some draconian moves attempting to expel the monster from my throat!
Beginning a week-long excessive heat warning in Wonderland. Lucky to be retired & not needing to go out except for grocery shopping & fetching the mail. Sitting on the patio is not too bad either. Hope you have a good week! 🌺
Good Monday morning my dear friend… Not looking forward to this week so much. I’m having a tooth pulled Wednesday but not too concerned. The temps this week are going to be awful. 92F-97F (33C-36C) with the heat index making it feel even hotter. Ugh! We usually don’t get this hot in Northeast PA until a short time in August. Greetings. Monday. Supposed to get some rain with a chance of severe weather. It was in the 90s yesterday. It was the first day I had to bring out the fan. Right now, it is only 80* in the house but it feels worse than usual. I am aerating the house with the fan in the door but it is 78* outside so I do not know what good it will do. In either case, it looks like I shall be caught in the rain this morning on my walk. I shall be on the countdown for the eye exam later in the week. Live long and prosper.

A lazy Saturday..did work in yard a short while, but the heat won. Our 90's will stick around for two weeks, so they're saying now...possible sporadic pop showers along the way. The metal (for roof) came in yesterday, so we hope to have the shed finished early next week. Our builder is working today. Final inspection the following week..all good timing, as we leave for a weekend trip to TN and Boone, Blowing Rock NC on the 28th. Hard to believe we're halfway through June.
Good morning. The other day, my trip to the mall was a success, to a point. I ordered some tennis shoes. Of course my coupon did not work for that product. I had not bought shoes from Penney's since they quit carrying Nikes. I decided to give another brand a chance. The failure of the trip was not being able to buy sunglasses from the kiosk. It is not there this year. They used to have my type and were inexpensive. Now I shall have to go to Walmart for them. Speaking of Walmart, I should go there today as I have become extremely low on butter. The only other thing today..... church later. My big project yesterday was to rid myself of a lot of the unopened/unread mail and debris from the mail around the house. About 2 years of mail. Most of my mail I do not even open any longer.
