Wednesday is upon us! Have you finished your coffee yet?
Oh, I see you now! Are you still eating breakfast?
Carrots are really good for you but the day is drifting away quickly as the temperatures are rapidly rising!
I have already watered the yard and maybe played in the water a bit too. You know our temperatures will be 100° or more all this week.
After all, if you are outside taking care of the flowers and plants, you have to have fun! Play with the dogs, goats, cats, or anyone that will play with you.
If there is no one to play with, just sing. That is what the birds do. Then the Blessings will start to surround you.
Happy Friday, and best wishes for a great & fun weekend. Glad the Southeast is seeing the end of Debby. I hope it whizzes past the Northeast much more quickly. DH goes in for 2nd reconstructive/graft surgery 9/3. His outlook is positive and good. Take care... *hugs* -di
Guess where I am today? I am at work! Fridays are usually quiet so I get to key things into the computer without too many interruptions.
When I sitz in front of the work computer, I know that in a week or so I will be able to buy a couple more treats for the dogs.
We have to be able to buy dog good because Lily likes to toss it around and get her exercise playing with it before she actually eats it.
We took the granddogs back already and what a difference in our house now. It is amazing how fast you get in a habit of them being around. I guess what I am saying is, "It is amazing how fast they train us!"
Our granddaughter is the graphic artist that designed and made this. I am sure their dogs and our dogs were all the inspiration she needed. Let's start the weekend now!
Good Morning to you! Each day, not just Tuesday, is a day to start from scratch. What will you do with today?
Each day in your Life, you have a choice. Forgive and forget yesterday, concentrate on today.
Can't you hear the laughter? Put a smile on your face and it will end up on the face of others. You can be happy rain or shine and pass it on to everyone you meet!
You will feed off of others around you and you will pass it on, so remember to pick your friends wisely.
Praying for those who are dealing with too much rain and for all of us dealing with the world's problems.
Monday is here and I hope you have had some rain as we are in the 100's this week.
Look at the beauty all around. Are you still seeing butterflies fluttering around the blooms of your flowers?
Sometimes you have to look real hard to see what is right in your hand.
It is easy to spot what is obvious. God wants you to see everything that he made as beautiful and to love everything and everyone.
By this time next month, we will be seeing signs of fall all around us. The colors will change but the beauty will still surround us.
I have been sitting on the patio for almost 2 hours. I have seen Doves, Cardinals, Mockingbirds, Starlings and all kinds of small birds. I have had bees, butterflies, wasps, and more on the flowers right next to me. I have seen hummingbirds at the orange Lantana, pink Hoya, and red Turks Cap. They come to the feeder and then within 2' of my face looking at me. A slight breeze just started after feeling the warm sun on my face. Come join me please.
Welcome to the last day of July and another wacky Wednesday!
I know this next one isn't very funny and you may not even understand it but if you have grandchildren or great grandchildren you know there is a generation gap of some kind going on today.
Happy Tuesday to you! Do you have a hummingbird feeder to watch the hummingbirds?
This is one of my females. I call the colorful ones males and the plain one females. Usually when we are sitting on the patio, we hear them even before we see the motion of them coming to the feeders.
I would be so excited if I ever saw one feeding babies, or even saw a nest. One of my females is much smaller than the one in my picture.
I only have one thornless Cactus plant in a pot and it is not blooming, but my hummingbirds love the red blooms on our Turk's Cap plants.
So if you don't have any hummingbirds coming around, find a Turk's Cap plant because they love it.
Or you can just come on over anytime. The garage door will open and we will be there waiting to invite you in with lots of tail wagging ...
As we start this new week, Mother Nature has decided to remind us that Summer is here in full swing.
We had almost 2 weeks with a chance of rain, clouds and cooler temperatures. While we did not get much rain, areas around us did.
Before the middle of August, Texas children will all be back in school and out of the heatwave coming our way.
So as our temperatures go back into the 100's, we give thanks to Mother Nature taking a vacation this year.
While our kids will all be back in air conditioned rooms, let us not forget the firefighters from Canada, Oregon, California and all over fighting big fires, trying to save homes, churches, and business, animals and land.
