Good morning. To be or not to be that is the question. I think I would like to be today after a strenuous Ash Wednesday. I am looking forward to some milder temperatures later today. Starting today at 1*. As the week progresses, it will be getting warmer. I believe on Saturday and Sunday it will reach 33°. I am hopeful. Enjoy the day. It is Garbage Day. Good morning on this Tuesday morning. Happy Mardi Gras. I got up too early this morning, about 2:00 AM. I looked out the window onto the street. I saw a lonely street with one streetlight on. It looked cold, and I suppose it was if you consider 2°cold. And I might do that considering yesterday we had some sunlight all day giving the impression of warmth. It really was not as the temperature was 7°. All winter long it has been getting dark at 5:00 PM. Yesterday it was still daylight at 5:40 PM and I thought maybe it would not be too cold out to throw the water out and maybe check the mail. I dedicated a paragraph in the past on how I do not do that in the dark with ice on the sidewalk. In either case, I embarked on my mission and went outside for the first time yesterday at that time. And it was cold. Even though the temperature was 5°, it was cold. I think I am being fooled somewhat because of the extreme temperatures we have been having. Somehow thinking it was above zero, it will not be that call. This morning according to my computer it is 2°. I shall not be fooled again. However, the good news is it did not snow. A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

Good morning. Monday has arrived and so has this writer. Another morning with the usual WEATHER ALERT. It is the windchill this morning. It is -13° F with a windchill of - 25°. I am getting a little tired of everyday reading about a WEATHER ALERT. It looks like it may warm up to about 7°today. At least it will be above zero. And I do not see anything about snow in the forecast this week. This is the first time in quite a while we will not be getting snow. It is also that time of the year for me to bring out my wardrobe composed of loincloth and burlap. I'm entering the time, I like to call LENT. In either case, I shall be participating in all the amenities of this time of year. I shall be most likely isolating myself in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE unless I see the sun. If I do, I may take a constitutional around the neighborhood. Outside of that, I shall limit myself to throwing out the water into the street.

Good morning on this Sunday morning. It is kind of cool one this morning, -4° F. I don't think I will work on my garden as of yet. The high temperature for today is going to be 3° F. It looks like a good day to isolate myself in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. I was able to get out and about yesterday and purchase some items not needed. Of course it is good to get out and have some conversation. Tonight it is going to turn cold, about -12°. It takes a toll on the heating bill but it certainly beats lying out in the backyard.

Happy Saturday. Looking out the window, a little more snow overnight. I shall have to take the shovel and push some snow around by my garage door to make certain my motor vehicle will be available. I actually would not have to as it does not look like an excessive amount of snow. However, I am expecting snow for at least the next two weeks and it can add up. The movie at the theater was acceptable yesterday. It actually was better than I thought although it did test my patience in certain areas. Upon completion, I kept thinking about a rain check I had for chocolate milk and I wanted to redeem it when I wasn't on my regular shopping tour. However, I was too lazy to get my motor vehicle out of the garage and I decided to walk to the store. It was good exercise. About a mile each way. The only problem was all the people that did not shovel their sidewalks and some of the people did not even put salt on the ice. Even though it was cold out, I broke a sweat from maneuvering this obstacle course. Today I shall activate the motor vehicle for my appearance at church and therefore also visit other sites in my city. I'm even thinking of going to a Walmart. There is a big commotion about their new policy of eliminating the greeters at the door. Some of those people are handicapped and will not be able to find another position. In an article yesterday online, one of the stores in my area is finding a position for one of the handicapped people being eliminated. As far as all the other people who need jobs that are being eliminated, and they don't seem to care about those people.

Good morning on this Friday morning. It is MOVIE DAY and I have every intention on attending the theater. I shall be in attendance in approximately 4 hours give or take 37 seconds. It is actually quite mild this morning, about 12°. It is easy for me to say that it is quite mild as I have not been out of the house. Since this horrific buildup of the ice on my sidewalk, I do not throw out the water until daylight. I may even bring out my motor vehicle today and keep it out until Saturday night. That shall be a game time decision. Going into Sunday will be another story as far as the temperature as it shall drop to approximately -15°at night. By the way, do not forget your calendars. I have changed the pages on two out of three calendars. One calendar to go.

Happy HUMP DAY. Some light snow this morning. I have given up shoveling snow with the exception of the garage entrance. I shall be getting no mail and even my trips to the street to throw out the water will be limited to daylight due to the heavy ice buildup from the slush and such. So, this morning, instead of waiting for the light of day, I threw the water off the back porch and am hoping for the best. I completed the dental appointment yesterday without the need of an ambulance or medical personnel. They did give me a homework assignment which I completed last night and shall now have to find a mailbox to deposit it. Actually, COMPLETE is the wrong word as I left a bunch of blank spaces. Have a good day. I shall remain sequestered with the exception of moving the shovel around by the garage later. I think Friday we shall get a reprieve and hit 20* before the temps go down again.
