Good morning on this Friday morning.  I'm undecided about going to the theater today.  I was planning on going but the more I think of my selection, I am less certain.  It will be a game time decision in approximately 4 1/2 hours, give or take 4 minutes.  In either case, the weather is back to normal.  It is 0°at 4:00 AM.  A windchill of -17°.  I do not expect it to get too warm today.  If I'm fortunate, maybe 12°.  And then we shall have this happening all over again tonight.  I'm convinced this will never end.

Hopefully you had a good Valentine's Day yesterday.  I was able to get out for a constitutional around the neighborhood.  I shall be activating my motor vehicle tomorrow for my usual Saturday agenda for this time of year.  Once I get the car of the garage, I become mobile.  I shall actually get out and listen to people talking.  My highlight of the day yesterday, besides my constitutional around the neighborhood, was being involved in the recyclables.  I had enough in my garbage can to warrant my participation.  Whatever!

Have a good day.  My countdown continues toward the big decision of the day, to be or not to be at the theater.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning.  We had a snowstorm yesterday and it looks like most of the fun is finished.  I suppose overall we had a little over a foot of snow.  I went out to shovel yesterday the first time.  That was a hassle as I was shoveling about 10 inches of snow.  The next two times were just a little cleanup except that the plow came through and I had to dig out from that.  I have been looking out my window this morning.  It is still dark and so it is difficult to analyze how much shoveling will have to be done today.  It usually gets daylight about 7:00 AM.  I would imagine I will open up the door and use the shovel about 9:00 AM this morning.  The plow will be coming through to plow the street one more time to clean up and that will completely block the opening to the street.  That will take a little work.  And whoever is plowing my alley shall also create something I have to shovel.  If plow would not be coming through the alley I would not have to shovel behind the garage at all.  Overnight it got someone cold.  About 11°.  I believe it is going to warm into the twenties today, and then tomorrow, about 33°before we go back to the cold temperatures again.  Eventually this will be just a dream.

Tomorrow of course is Valentine's Day.  It is good not to have the storm on that day so that people can get out and about to celebrate Valentine's Day.  And people can also get to the store to buy something for their Valentine.  So in advance I am wishing everyone a happy Valentine's Day.  Outside of my trips outside today to shovel, I shall remain sequestered in my Fortress Of Solitude.  I could make an exception if it is not slippery to do a constitutional around the neighborhood.  Have a good day.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning. Current status: snow storm. Getting about 10 inches. One inch per hour. Waiting to shovel in the daylight. Perhaps around noon when it will taper somewhat. The alert until midnight tonight. Proper terminology: Humbug! Have a good day. I shall be in seclusion. Ciao for now and watch your wallet.

If you're not supposed to eat at night, why is there a light in the refrigerator?

Good morning on this Sunday morning.  It has warmed up considerably.  It is 15°at 4:00 AM.  We are heading to 22°and this is a vast improvement as of late.  Unfortunately, we have a winter alert for snow.  Nothing extravagant, up five inches.  And since I do not need to go anywhere, the only inconvenience is shoveling.  I was able to go out this morning to throw out the water without feeling cold.  I wasn't even dressed properly.  However I did have the decency to put on a robe in case someone was looking out their window.  It was 4:00 AM but it was after a Saturday night and one never knows who is returning home rather late.  I am reporting no agenda for today.

Have a good day.  Tomorrow we go back to our real lives.  At least the people who have them.  I got my quota for reality yesterday when I talked to a couple of people at the mall and the grocery store.  So I should be good for the week.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Dropping in to wish you a lovely day. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the weekend so far. They always go by way too fast. I'm having a lazy day, just can't seem to get motivated.  Hope it isn't too cold your way.  Hoping for an early Spring. Take care~~~~ hugs, debijo

Good morning on this Saturday morning.  It is rather cold this morning.  Negative double digits, but the good news is that it shall be rising to about 15°later today.  And then to continue this good news, on Sunday and Monday it shall get into the twenties.  Of course with that warm weather will come snow.  I still have about six weeks before the motorcycle shall become operational.  At least the people that go to Mars, and it will be a one way trip, will not have to put up with snow.  I guess cannot imagine never seeing warm weather again.

The movie yesterday was acceptable.  It ended up there were two selections in the offering.  I took the one that started earlier.  It starred Oskar Schindler.  I think I would've preferred the horror movie, but whatever.  I shall limit by comments due to a Spoiler Alert.  I am going to activate my motor vehicle later today.  I need to get out and hear some voices that are not electronically manufactured.  I have not made a final decision on what circuit I intend to take.  I have church later today, and before that I am almost certain to visit a grocery store.  It would not be mandatory, but people are paid to talk to me in the grocery store.  That is still a long way from happening but that is my intention.  And considering I bought a new battery last week, I assume the car shall activate on command.

Have a good day, and be careful out there.  Some of you get carried away on the weekend and might have to pose for a mug shot.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning.  It is MOVIE DAY however, there is uncertainty due to the quality of the production.  It shall be a game time decision.  I'm not even certain what time it starts although I suspect approximately 10:00 AM.  We got some snow yesterday and it is not as bad as I thought.  I think some of the outlying areas got quite a bit more.  I woke up and went out and pushed the shovel at approximately 2:30 AM.  I was not planning on completing my task.  I thought the cold weather would be worse.  It is -4°.  Apparently I missed the windchill by a half hour.  The windchill warning started at 3:00 AM.  I saw one of my neighbors motion lights go on at approximately that time.  Under the circumstances, things went pretty smoothly.  The snow did not have too much water content and therefore it was light to shovel.  Most of the time I was able to just push the shovel.  The bad news is the high for today is going to be 2°.  And then of course tonight, double digits in the negative temperature.  I am guarding against my drain freezing up again as it did a couple of weeks ago.  Whatever!

I have no agenda for today.  I shall not be activating my motor vehicle.  And so it comes to pass that the only thing on the horizon for today would be the movie theater and that is in question.  Have a good day on this the eve of the weekend.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning on this Thursday morning.  It is also Garbage Day.  I shall not be participating because of a lack of garbage.  If I get the ambition, I shall participate from the standpoint of moving my neighbor's garbage receptacle out to the alley.  I believe she is in an illicit relationship with someone and is never home to fully participate in these activities.  I think she is staying in a different colony where the rules on garbage pickup are different and thus transports some of her garbage to this location.  She had made a cameo yesterday and I would assume will she has placed some garbage in the receptacle.  This will be a game time decision for this writer.

The winter weather is bad.  I went out this morning and threw out some water and the temperature seemed reasonable even though I was not dressed for the occasion.  We are under a winter alert, again.  Tonight the temperature turns cold.  Negative numbers.  And then tomorrow night, negative numbers in double digit.  This is depressing!  I shall be guarding against freeze-up of some of my water fixtures.  February is the cloudiest month of the year in my backyard.  I shall remain stationed in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE.  Yesterday I was planning on going for a constitutional in my neighborhood but it was too slippery.  Instead, I seasoned my sidewalk.

Have a good day.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Happy New Year.  On this New Year Day, winter has re-emerged in my backyard.  Freezing temperatures and so forth.  Winter alerts, that kind of thing.  However, nothing is bad as we have just had in cold.  After this record cold temperatures, we had the warm spell of temperatures in the forties.  We had quite a bit of rain and melting snow.  There's a lot of water sitting around.  And now with the freezing temperatures, it has frozen.  Glancing out my front window, the street looks like a skating rink.  I did not even bother going outside this morning to throw out the water.  If I do that, I shall wait for the light of the day to see where I am walking.  In either case, this completes my report of the weather for today.

Yesterday I completed my task to my supplier.  I returned a converter box that I never use and that I was paying $7.50 a month to rent.  Much to my chagrin, when I arrived, there was a line.  I was not expecting that as I am not good waiting in line.  The only thing that made it bearable was the anguish and pain of some of the people in front of me that were unable to complete their task.  And I was the only one including the person at the desk who probably knew the reason.  Their website was offline yesterday morning and therefore they could not use their computer programs to complete their task.  In either case, I knew there was some urgency in my arrival at their office.  Today is the last day of that rental.  And I knew the roads would be icy every morning.  At least I got to hear some dialogue in real time.  I even participated for a brief time myself.  I suppose some people did not like me when I was laughing about them standing in line to pay a bill when they could have paid it online, or in the alternative, on the telephone.  I also went to the mall and watched people walk.  I participated but not to the extent of some of these people attempting to be in a hurry.  I actually do not enjoy my journey to the mall as much as I formally did. There is only one anchor store left and I really don't get coffee at Gloria Jean's any longer.  And some of the socialites that used to sit around on the benches and have conversations are no longer there for various reasons.  For nostalgia I sometimes go into Barnes &Noble.  They have a nice coffee shop in there where I occasionally see someone I knew from a former life.  But for some of these people I hasten by to past them.  And of course there are some people sitting around on the comfortable chairs reading books.  I often wonder if they are going to pay for the book or they are just coming in there to read it and put back on the bookshelf.  Whatever!

Have a good NEW YEAR DAY.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning. Happy Monday, etc. Everything is perfect in the universe.................. for now. The timetable has been moved up for the collision with Andromeda. As you probably know, the Milky Way is going to collide with this monster in about 7 billion years, give or take a couple of weeks. Well now there is a another problem. There is a spiral of stars known as the Large Magellanic Cloud. These satellite stars could begin colliding with my galaxy in 2 to 3 billion years. I can only imagine what is going to happen to my house. By the way, The Andromeda Galaxy is quite a bit larger than my galaxy where I live.. (Adjust your doomsday clocks accordingly). Fortunately I have time today to take one of my converters back to my agent for cable TV. So I do have an agenda unless I decide on tomorrow for this, or the next year.

Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Just little ole me dropping by to say hi. Hope you are doing well and staying warm, so many areas getting hit hard by storms. They are predicting snow here this evening but we shall see. I hope not as I don't really want to drive in it tomorrow morning. My furnance has been out all week and finally got it fixed yesterday. So thankful to have heat again. I had a couple electric heaters but it just wasn't the same. Always left them off during the night and would wake up to a 47 degree house, brrrr... Would turn the heaters on while I got ready for work and it would get up to around 58 by the time I left. Anyway, it was so nice to awake to a warm 65 degrees this morning. Then I cranked it up to 70 lol.  Well, I do hope you enjoy your day and the Superbowl if you watch it. Take care and have a great week~~ hugs, debijo

Good morning.  It is Super Bowl Sunday.  I can dispense with all of the pregame festivities.  I watch enough sports talk shows during the week to already have most of the information.  I used to look forward to this day but it has become too commercialized.  I shall watch most of the game unless it gets one sided.  Yesterday morning my entire weekend was rectified.  I was able to have use of the restroom after it had become unavailable.  I thought I would never be able to activate it again.  I had already told my handyman to purchase a new toilet and bring it over.  This is the first time this has ever happened to this writer.  My handyman told me it was because I have some kind of fancy drain on my toilet and that's why it froze.  Of course it was mystifying for this writer on how it could happen in the house.  But the wall is thin in the bathroom and therefore when we get a record temperatures it happened.  If it ever happens again, I shall reestablish myself with a more simple toilet.  Whatever!

I was pleased to find that it is 42° this morning at 3:00 AM.  When I went out to throw out the water, there was a lot of puddles from the melting snow.  My feet became  wet and as I walked along the sidewalk, I almost fell three or four times.  The water had melted the crunchy snow on top of the ice patches.  This made it very slippery.  In either case, I was not able to see these patches in the dark and was lucky not to end up on the ground.  In either case, I have left my automobile activated outside the garage and will be able to make use of the vehicle today.  I had a traumatic experience yesterday.  I went to Walmart at 2:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon.  I shall not do that again.  Fortunately everyone was attired reasonable so I did not have to strain my eyes.  Too many people that do not know how to function efficiently in public.

I leave you now in the hope that you have a good Sunday.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
