Due to the restricted diet I am on for life, mashed potatoes and gravy is my favorite. I also like blenderizing spinach, peas, green beans with tuna, chicken or other meat. Cream of Wheat.

I am doing well since my stay in the hospital for about half the month of August for partial Achalasia surgery. I am now on a restricted diet for life (pureed or blender food,pudding or porridge consistency, certain soups)and I've gained 20 pounds back out of 70 that I lost.I would be OK with 10 more pounds...I have also returned to work.:)
Am now at over 165 pounds!:)
In mourning for my cat, Bootsie, who had to be put down because of cancer on July 20, 2012. She was just shy of 14 years old. We had her for over 10 years. Bootsie, R.I.P.
As of 11/4/12, my wife and I have adopted and welcomed a new member to our family. A rescued domestic short hair black and white cat. His name? Oreo. Is he a replacement for Bootsie? NOPE. Oreo is a COMPLETELY different personality. Well, we were forced to surrender Oreo. We tried to rescue another cat, only to find out he was FIV-positive. Then we adopted a Grey Tiger; named him Tiger (he had no previous name). Will be getting front paws declawed soon. He's a keeper!

I have CRS (Congenital Rubella Syndrome.I socialize with the local deaf community(but not exclusively). I was "mainstreamed" through school, never went to a deaf school or oral school.I also have dyscalculia (math-learning disability)and mild dyslexia, which was only discovered during my time as a non-traditional student at college. I otherwise did well in college. Yes, I know American Sign Language; I use it everyday. I am NOT an interpreter. I have progressive hearing loss (which IS progressing)and which will render me deaf over time.My auditory discrimination is getting worse. My wife is deaf.
I also have Baptist influences. I visit my hometown nursing home once or twice a week to see relatives and friends there. I view it as a ministry. "My time is NEVER wasted"-(self quote) I have recently returned to security guard work, which keeps me busy nowadays, so if you don't hear from me, it's because I'm either working or sleeping. I was a Hurricane Gustav evacuee and I am also a Hurricane Isaac survivor. I have survived quite a few hurricanes in my lifetime.

Cats; dogs are OK. (Cats rule, dogs drool and have fleas). Three Stooges (especially Larry Fine),Doctor Who (Tom Baker,Peter Davison, and David Tennant)and the T.A.R.D.I.S.

Bullies, self-righteous people, artichokes, olives,pimentos,jalapeno,red and green peppers, anchovies. Movies like Bug(the original),Attack of the Killer Tomatoes,Airplane,The Birds.
"Golddiggers", high-maintenance women.I find young girls who flaunt their "tramp stamps",a.k.a."hootchie mamas" offensive. Also, multi-tattooed (a.k.a. body art)women and men is unsightly to me. Also saggy pants on either gender. I don't like "bumpers"(people with loud music coming from their vehicles)who you can hear from a block away. I call that Bazooka Bait."Hootchie Mamas"."Low Rider" trucks; but I think "Low Rider" cars are cool.Robocalls. Alzheimer jokes.
Vanity headlights (blue, pink, etc.)ESPECIALLY when drivers have them on high beam for no real reason.
