Anything that isn't violent...I love most animated films Lady and the Tramp,Charlotte's Web,Lion King, Enchanted,Beauty and the Beast- What Dreams may Come. I love happy movies Mama Mia, YaYa Sisterhood, Romantic Comedies....you get the picture.
I have enough real life in my life. I like to be pleasantly distracted when I go to the movies.

Jazz and easy listening. I like Irish Music and Gregorian Chants. I like the Beatles and lots of big band music as well. I guess I like most music. Some more than others.

My name is patti. Born in Galveston TX raised mostly in upstate NY. Spent the majority of my adult life in southern Indiana, by way of California.

I am married to Larry with 5 children and 10 grands. (1 died in Iraq, August 2007)One Great Grandson born Feb 2014.

We moved to the east coast of FL in 1999 and I love living in FL which was a surprise because I never thought I would like it. I love the ocean, but felt FL would be too hot.

I am a retired Hospice Nurse.I felt that I could make a difference in someone's life. Probably having us in the home helps the family as much as the patient.

In 2000 and again in 2002 Larry and I went to Romania to work with the orphan children there. Larry actually went back another year to a different area to work with Global Village (Habitat for Humanity). While there we fell in love with the country and the children

I volunteer at our local Humane Society when ever I can and I vowed I would NEVER get another dog from a breeder, not because I think there is anything wrong with reputable breeders, but simply because there are TOO MANY perfectly good throw away pets out there. My message to you is if you must have a pure bred dog, go to a “rescue site” for that breed. There are Rescue sites for almost all breeds of dog and probably cats as well

I love the Starfish Story, which I will include here, if you haven’t seen it already.


Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.
The man was struck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.
As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It sure made a difference to that one!"




We loved our trip to Europe, Larry took lots of pictures............. me too!

I like working with people at my church.

Scrapbooking,my garden,my computer,well it isn't really a hobby as much as a way of life these days. I have started beading and I love the dragonfly ornaments we made and we are going to make snowflake ornaments. Trips and lunches with the girls.
