Good morning. Cool rain came through and is continuing as of this typing. Currently 71* going to a high of 74* A vast improvement. I am trying to cool the house down by aerating the place. Tomorrow is the eye exam so I feel confined today, as with all appointments. I use the appointments for social dating. Nothing planned for today. Playing it by ear,to coin a phrase. Good morning. Going to be another hot one today. Tomorrow, a day of cooling. It does not pay for me to aerate the house. The difference in the temp between outside and inside is about 2*. In years past, I could cool the house down overnight. I guess one can look at it as not bad compared to my neighborhood in a billion years. The average temp will be 1500* F. Postscript: yesterday when I went out for the walk, insects were attacking me all the way, culminating in this writer swallowing a gnat close to home and going through some draconian moves attempting to expel the monster from my throat!
Beginning a week-long excessive heat warning in Wonderland. Lucky to be retired & not needing to go out except for grocery shopping & fetching the mail. Sitting on the patio is not too bad either. Hope you have a good week! 🌺
Good Monday morning my dear friend… Not looking forward to this week so much. I’m having a tooth pulled Wednesday but not too concerned. The temps this week are going to be awful. 92F-97F (33C-36C) with the heat index making it feel even hotter. Ugh! We usually don’t get this hot in Northeast PA until a short time in August. Greetings. Monday. Supposed to get some rain with a chance of severe weather. It was in the 90s yesterday. It was the first day I had to bring out the fan. Right now, it is only 80* in the house but it feels worse than usual. I am aerating the house with the fan in the door but it is 78* outside so I do not know what good it will do. In either case, it looks like I shall be caught in the rain this morning on my walk. I shall be on the countdown for the eye exam later in the week. Live long and prosper.
