Good morning. Happy hump day. At 3:00 AM it is 13°with a windchill of -3°. I believe that is what's called cold. Last summer I had a new storm door put on my rear door. It has worked really well. However, now that the cold weather is here, the outside handle seems to freeze up and not work when one is outside. In other words, stopping one from getting back into the house. I have not figured out a solution. I have tried putting a plastic bag over the handle figuring it would keep the moisture from the handle hoping to solve this problem. It is not working. I may have to make a key for the front door so if I am out somewhere, when I get home if the situation is critical, I will have a way into the house. As I have previously stated in other communiques, I go out to the street to throw water away and usually am not dressed properly. The first time this happened, I was in that situation. Fortunately I had a receptacle along that I carried water in and was able to hit the handle to make it work. I am now feeling sorry for myself.
Since I have an agenda for tomorrow to go somewhere, I think I shall remain secluded in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE for today so as not to contract some illness which will hinder my accomplishing my agenda for tomorrow. I have previewed the weather for the next 10 days and it looks as if they were optimistic yesterday about the temperature getting back to the forties. It does not look as if the temperature will ever get back to that magic number again of 40*. Once again, self pity.

Good morning. I went for some exercise this morning and the temperature was reasonable. The weather website said it was 33°but I find that hard to believe as there was no standing water. Everything was frozen over. And if my science does not fail me, freezing is 32°. That being said, some of the roads were slippery. I believe it was because of frost. There didn't seem to be any wetness to most of the roads and so the only thing that could make them slippery is frost. And it was not all of the roads, just some of them. It actually was easier to jog on the sidewalks. I usually do not like to use the sidewalks for my exercise for various reasons but this morning there did not seem to be any frost on the sidewalks. All this being said, it was not so slippery as to endanger one's very being. I did have to eliminate from my schedule the path next to the creek. That was slippery enough that I could have incurred injury. Everything went well for this time of the year, it felt pretty good out. The next two or three days are going to be something different. I hope on Thursday the weather is better as I am scheduled to drive someplace 30 miles from my backyard. And of course, I do not have a cell phone in case something happens on the road. I do not look forward to the challenge.
I'm thinking about activating my motor vehicle out of the garage and going on safari to the grocery store today. It will give me the opportunity to put some gasoline into the car so I do not have to bother with that on the day of my day trip. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning on this Monday morning. It looks like my agenda will not exist today. It has been raining all night and it continues to do so this morning. It is 40°out at 4:00 AM. This is almost unheard of in the month of January in my backyard. I went to throw some water out this morning and if it would not be slippery, I would've went for my exercise despite the rain. I guess I should be happy that it is not snowing. I have decided to settle into my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. The conditions of my streets in my area will most likely prohibit a constitutional today with all of the standing water. It could actually be slippery because of the patches of ice underneath the water.

Good morning on this Sunday morning. Not too bad in my backyard. About 26°and a clear sky. I went out this morning for some exercising being fully cognizant that the ground could be slippery with moisture. There were a good parts, and there were bad parts. I was cautious and was able to complete my task without injury. I shall remain in my area the rest of the day with perhaps a constitutional around the area. Thus, I'm drinking the good coffee. I forgot to mention the other day when reporting on my trip to the movie theater, I had a private showing of the movie. Every so often I am the only one in attendance at the movie. It could be that I like the early performance, or the movie does not have a lot of publicity, or I am such an important person that they give me a private showing.

Good morning on this Saturday morning. Yesterday I was successful in all of my endeavors. I am not certain it was a good thing but I got completed my agenda. It also was a nice day out with a lot of sun that made it seem as I was not in an icebox, or for you people living in the 21st century, a refrigerator. I managed to return to the store at the mall to return the item I purchased. There was no fanfare and no one started to yell at me.
The movie yesterday was better than I thought. Escape Room. It is like the Saw movies, but better, I think. They had a disclaimer at the box office about the movie might cause seizures. I never have had one so I do not know what causes them but I saw nothing unusual in the movie to cause a problem.
As far as today, my usual Saturday agenda for the winter. This morning, my current status: in my READY ROOM; drinking the bad coffee; listening to the stereo; composing my communiques. Later in the day, the NFL playoffs begin. Personally I do not like the timing of the games. But they never asked me my opinion. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

Good morning. It is MOVIE DAY at the theater and there was some uncertainty. Yesterday I went to the mall and purchased an item and I'm thinking very strongly of returning it. I was thinking of doing so today but it would coincide with the theater. Now I can return it after the theater, however I try to avoid people in a line. I shall probably end up going later to return it. Fortunately, my selection at the theater has an early starting time, 9:05 AM. I may update this story at a later time. By the way, there should be excitement in my neighborhood today as it is also Garbage Day due to the holiday earlier in the week. I'm not certain if I shall be participating.
It is fairly warm for this time of year in my backyard overnight, 32°. I was hoping that some of the snow on the street would melt so I can get back to my exercise protocol early in the morning. I think we're going to have another day of 40°. If we can get the sun to make an appearance, I think we could get the snow to go away. I'm on a countdown to spring.

Good morning on this Thursday morning. Due to the holidays, GARBAGE DAY is being postponed until tomorrow. It takes away the excitement of the day as usually Thursday is not very prominent. I was not planning on doing so, but I'm thinking of activating my motor vehicle and going on safari to the mall and maybe a grocery store. That shall be a game time decision. Being that it is 18°, it is going to warm up to about 40°later today, it gives me hope and ambition to get out of my sequestration. Like I said, game time decision.

People will be getting back into their ordinary life after an extraordinary holiday season. I have had a chance to preview the weather and later this week, on Friday and Saturday, rumors are rampant about the temperature reaching into the 40's. Excitement knows no boundaries.
I really don't have any formal agenda for today. I am waiting with bated breath for my bank statements to arrive on line for my next project. So you could say my year is off to a slow start. If ambition were to overcome my boredom, I might actually continue straightening up the house in my effort to find items I want to scan for eternity. So when going out tonight, be prepared for the weather. Tuesday is rumored to be 6*. Not a way to bring in the new year. We will never see you again 2018.

Good morning. It is the last Sunday of the year. Make it a good one. It seemed cold this morning on my exercise route. The first thing I notice when opening my door was the storm door frosted up. The only time it becomes like that is when there is a wind and cold. I then went out and it seemed a lot colder than yesterday. The temperature was only 3° colder than yesterday, 17°. However, the windchill was 5°. And I guarantee you there was some wind, although not as bad as it could've been. It was a real trial jogging into the wind. Even going away from the wind, the cold seem too cut a person's clothing and made it seem colder. I eventually conquered my cowardice and won the day.
I have no agenda for the rest of the day. I may take a constitutional around the neighborhood because there is a rumor going around that the temperature will rise to 35°. I was surprised this morning to see a clear sky where I could count the stars in the sky. It is very seldom that I am able to complete my count in the time taken to complete my exercise. Tomorrow I shall have to invent an agenda as I shall have to activate my motor vehicle out of the garage because of the engagement I have to go to church later in the day. It is always trying to get a vehicle out of the garage because I have to lift the garage door for various reasons. I remember one time I actually walked to the grocery store which is about a mile away because I was too lazy to get the car out of the garage.

Good morning. Happy Saturday. The last weekend of the year. Make it a good one. I managed to get out for my exercise this morning. It was somewhat cold, 20°with a windchill of 13°. Fortunately, there was no wind and it made it acceptable. While I was on my route, I came across my first Christmas tree cast asunder by someone who thinks Christmas is over. At least they had a real tree. My agenda for today is a mixed bag. Later today, I have the usual church obligation. This morning I may make a safari to the mall for no other reason than to audit people who are out there. People seem to go out there for various reasons. Shopping, exercise, meeting other people, and that kind of thing. It is always interesting to get into the real world sometimes. I'm also planning on my safari to stop at the grocery store and see what they have that might interest this writer. It is not a question of need; but a statement of want. I've already checked my status at the bank and found out I had the necessary transactions needed for my increase in interest rates.

Good morning on this Friday morning. We are moving closer to the new year where one will have to completely change the calendar. I have secured all three of my new calendars and had actually installed two of them. The one that is not installed does not have the month of December for this year on it and therefore cannot be installed safely.
MOVIE DAY has been canceled due to a lack of interest. There is nothing playing I wish to see. It will make more of a relaxation today where the pressure will not be on this writer to be on time. I'm off to a good start this morning, although a late start for various reasons. But considering I have no real life, it is almost impossible to be running late. I did not think I would be able to get out for my exercise protocol this morning due to the weather, rain. However, upon rising I noticed it had stopped raining. I thought I would give it a try and see if I could at least get a couple of miles in. I actually exceeded my goal. I was out over an hour which indicates a good exercise. During that time, I noticed a mist every so often. Nothing major, just a mist. I completed my protocol and reentered my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE. I was an my domicile for approximately 20 minutes when I heard something resembling rain on my shingles. I have now had a chance to preview the weather for today and it is not good. Icy rain this morning, changing to snow this afternoon. I was thinking of organizing a safari to the grocery store but that shall be a game time decision. For those of you who received a book as a Christmas gift from this writer, you have to return it to the library in about a week. It is due back at that time. I was just going to buy the books at a bookstore but it is so much more convenient to get the books at the library.
Yesterday, Thursday, was a sad day indeed. The second anniversary of Carrie. In my neighborhood, despite the rain, crowds were milling around the monument to Carrie, and her mother. Some of the people brought flowers and such. Fame is fleeting, but not when they build a monument to you.
