With just 26 days until Christmas, you'd better check to see if you're on the naughty list and hope that you have time to shift to the nice list before it's too late. I hope your day is going great. It's a rather cloudy Friday here but since it's Friday, who cares about the weather, right? Almost time to get the weekend started. Nanc, I'm glad you got so much of your work done. And paying off the farm, to boot! We paid off our house a few months ago and it feels so awesome. With Dave retiring, it's great to not have a house payment now.
It is a beautiful Thursday for me, how about you? Sunshine and perfect temps for nearly December. I have just refilled the bird feeders and while I was out there, the birds were just fussing at me. As if to say, "hey, lady, hurry up". Now they are happy once again and I get to be entertained by the birds and squirrels from my living room windows. Hope your day is going great. Our beloved weekend is almost here. Nanc, what are you doing sitting at your computer when you've got a whole plateful of things to do by the weekend? Get off of here and get to work. Some of the grandsons are coming over with Mommy in afew days to help Grammie decorate the Christmas tree. We will have a glorious time and of course Grammie will have hot chocolate with marshmallows for them to enjoy along with some Christmas cookies.

It is a sunny, cold Wednesday at my house. Still in the 30s. How is your day going? I will do my usual daily stuff and then, later, watch another Christmas movie. I just love them. Doesn't matter to me that the storyline is basically the same in every one; I just like the festive, feel-good-ness they give me. Plus I'm a rather sappy soul. it's been a long day so far...last night my parrot got outside, it took me until 3oclock this morning to find him, thank god i got his wings cliped so he could'nt fly very far. i have been using warm towels on him all day, looks like he will be alright...he's in his cage with his sister eating now...not really sure how he got out, i probably accidently left his cage unlocked, and when i went out to fill up the bird feeders he snnuck out..i was so scared he would'nt make it, he was so cold..i've had him since i was in college...love him so much...well enough of my drama, hope your day went well, and you have a nice evening...hugs
Brrr, it's a chilly Tuesday for me. But very sunny and pretty. How is your weather today? I spent the morning writing Christmas cards and I believe I'll get them mailed at the post office Friday when we go for groceries. Each year it seems we give and receive fewer cards. Kind of sad, really. But times have changed and we must move along with the changes. Have a great afternoon/evening, Nanc. I'll get my work done and then watch a Christmas movie tonight.
well we got snow but not quite what they predicted, it's so pretty...starting to decorate the house ...but too early for a tree. i always get a real one . the cats will sure be happy when i put it up...lol...hope your week starts out good for you...hugs
This reindeer is too small to help pull Santa's sleigh this year but I bet he gets a shot at it next season! It is a dreary Monday here, so far, but I've got plenty to do indoors. I'll turn on the Christmas music and get things done. A holly, jolly cleaning session, if you will. LOL Hope your Monday is a good one and that the week will be great as well. Nancy, I can't hate Ohio State b/c I love you so.....I don't know why we don't follow college football. We LOVE football. Back home, we'd pull for Penn State. Heaven knows there are plenty of NC teams to choose from here but I guess if I had to choose a team to root for down south, it'd be Alabama. I'm so glad your team beat their rival. There is just something so special about taking down the team you love to hate! Nanc, if I don't get my vacuum run today, I fear the dust bunnies and crushed leaves everyone has tracked in will take over. I don't want to look like an episode of Hoarders where the floors are covered in heaven-knows-what! HAHA So if I do nothing else, I MUST get that done this afternoon. Housework and holidays just don't jive. I want to play Christmas music, bake cookies, watch Hallmark movies and bask in the tree lights. Who wants to clean house?

It's been forever since I visited The Hill. Been such a full, fun time starting with Thanksgiving. The house is decorated for Christmas now, inside and out. I've gotten 99% of my shopping done. Next on the agenda, start my holiday baking. I hope you've enjoyed a great weekend and that your Sunday will be relaxing! Both our favorite football teams play today so our afternoon is set up. Nanc, I haven't been here to visit either. Life! It has been such a great long weekend and I've been enjoying myself silly!
