Halloween and the end of October are almost upon us. I only put out a few of my haunted village pieces as displaying the whole collection is too time-consuming anymore. Have a Fabulous Friday! 👻
We made it to Friday once again. Rain has been here and gone. But it is supposed to come back again. Now what?
On Wednesday, we spent over 4 hours moving plants. They all got a good drink of water and are now ready for the plastic to go over them. We are expecting 3 nights of temperatures in the 30's.
A picture from years past of the plastic pulled back in winter so they can get sunshine. WE have lots of plants, ok I do, in pots scattered around the front and backyard; lots of hanging baskets everywhere in the back.
This is what it looks like, again from years past, on a cold winter night. Lights are on and the heater is going.
All the plants in tubs, big plastic tubs, got moved to the front. They will go in the garage when temperatures drop with a heater turned on.
Just in case you were wondering... yes, I have plants inside too. This is the only window in the house that does NOT have a solar screen so the plants can get light. I have a plant or two in about 3 other locations inside the house.
hello, good morning, this friday and every day, courage , we say we'll carry on, ending this day, successfully, will give us a week, more than we complete all around us, scattering
what we all wish, I wish you the best for your weekend
Take care wishes you, Maria, kisses, and big hugs,
Worked myself to a frazzle, yesterday, but got a bouquet of mums, at least 30" across, from the pot, only 9 " wide, into the ground. Hopefully they'll take hold, as those poor roots were very 'root-bound'. Also moved our lemon tree into the house. It's got a lemon that's more yellow, than green, and about 4+' long, that should ripen before next Spring. It's a mini tree, so much easier to care for...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a FANTASTICALLY FASCINATING FRIDAY, and a FANTABULOUS WEEKEND to follow, my friend...
Happy Friday. 63* at 3am, going down to the 40s during the day. The 60s are gone for the rest of time. I am hopeful to get my car back from the repair shop later. I shall be distraught at the money figure of course. I am out of some supplies and would like the car for groceries. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Appoquil you get from the vet - expensive - Lisa turned me on to it. It keeps her from scratching so much. When Rich took her to his old vet - couldn't get in the vet we use now, he told him LuLu's acting so crazy is because of fleas. I thought I saw a fea on her last week, but Rich was so sure black labs don't get feas, it had to be something else. I told him I rub her belly several times a day and never saw them again. Anyway, he got a med from the vet and some other pill, told him not to stop the Appoquill. She is much calmer now but still has weird behavior. Hopefully this will work and she'll be her old self again. I did a load of wash but it's still in there - I'll put it in the dryer tomorrow and I'll so another load. I made hamburger potato soup and put all the stuff called for in the recipe, plus corn, peas, pinto beans, & green beans. It was so good. I want to give it to his brother and wife as thy have had us over for dinner twice and although I have a lot left not sure it would feed 4 of us. But I guess if I had a side salad and bread it would stretch far enough. Can't do it tomorrow as we eat at the Moose and I have to make a big cake for dessert. Have a wonderful Friday Darci. Sorry for any misspelled words - not proofing this as it's late altready. Hugs, Wendy
Happy Thursday dear friend. Sorry have not been around to visit your page. Days have passed so fast without noticing. Hope I can make up for the absence and wish you a lovely day and have a fun time at Halloween . Hugs in friendship..
Good morning. 60*, some rain but did not get soaked. I still have not heard anything on the car, however, the car is not in the parking place where it has been. I may need therapy after this. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
It's nearly impossible to avoid caffeine altogether. Coffee and all iced tea has caffeine. We're not going to get away from caffeine unless we'd start drinking flavored water, 7-up, Sprite or something like that and I'm not giving up my coffee or iced tea, so that means we're still consuming a lot of caffeine. When I was younger, I drank lots of Coke/Pepsi until I started to have stomach issues, then I stopped drinking Cola. I've been drinking iced tea for a long time now and yes, I also drink unsweetened tea, so it doesn't throw me into a gag mode (as you put it) lol. I don't like sugary drinks. Do you ever use artificial sweetners for anything? I do put a little Stevia (artificial sweetner) in my tea. Makes it a bit more lively! I too, believe in moderation when it comes to alcohol. Just like to try different things once in awhile. There's nothing wrong with having a mixed drink now and again (for special occasions). You only live once, my dear. lol... Autumn hugs ~ Darlene
I didn't get to enjoy outdoor time Wednesday as I got up early to go to an appointment and the door was locked. A woman did come to let us in and we told her we had an appointment so what could they do. Funny thing was, several other couples came too - so who ever made the appointments really messed up. We weren't home long before we left to go to Richie's doctor. We stopped to get soemthing to eat - a sandwich as we were going to the Moose at 6. I came home and got into the showe and did my hair before we left for the Moose - stayed there till 10. Came home and both of us got something to eat as we were hungry. Tomorrow Rich is taking LuLu to his old vet as she is acting nuts - like she's over medicated. She's only on Appoquil and we have stopped giving her that. It just breaks my heart seeing her like this and maybe to think she knows what she's going but can't do anyhting about it. Well hopefully the vet can figure it out - they are costly but we are so thnkful she could be soon so quickly. Have a good Thursday Darci - it's gonna be another great day to don't waste it - you soon might be house bound when the cold days come. Hugs, Wendy
