Good morning. Heavy snow with accumulations of 9 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph producing patchy blowing and drifting the snow. And our sub zero temps are coming in later tomorrow. I was going to a funeral tomorrow but now I may omit that. Game time decision. I have the splint on my wrist so that should be interesting for shoveling. Have a good day. weather this week and Winter is officially here. Still have branches down in our yard from the Tuesday storm. More rain coming in tomorrow for us but only MILD STORMS this time. lol. Praise the Lord. have a good Thursday!

Our Thursday is beautiful. But we are trying to get things ready for teens and single digits.  I keep hoping the forecast will change and this weather will miss us.  

I always worry about the animals.  Surely they are gathering  up food now.  

God always provides and they all seem to find food and drink.  They can be the most creative.  

Mother Nature and Old Man Winter has sure got the decorating bug this year.  

Sometimes winter looks good on you.  I hope you are getting ready for the weekend.

Good morning. 23* going to 27*. We got a little snow overnight. The bottom is going to fall out on Saturday with more snow and sub zero temps. And Saturday I will have to get the car out of the garage and do a couple of things. If I did not have church, I would not go out. It is a hassle to get the car out as I have to lift the garage door. Hello Lisa. I can't imagine the snow and cold weather that you are experiencing as the day here is bright and sunny with temps in the mid 80's. The birds and bees are flocking to the Birdbath. It's a treat to see them having a splash.

I need to go to the Supermarket later when it cools down a little. It's almost two weeks since my last shopping day and I'm getting low on many items.

good morning Lisa, yep same here. Wild, windy stormy day and my house was getting cold by the time power came back on. It sure felt better after that heat cut on. Has your rain soaked in yet? Our ditches were running like a river.  Sun is out now and I couldn't be more pleased. Happy Wednesday.

I think I smile each day when I wake up.  At least I hope I do!  Then I smile many times during the day as we laugh together at what the day brings us.  

Coffee always makes me smile... the sound of it making, the smell of the grounds as well as the aroma when I take each sip.  

There are lots of things that make each one of us smile.  Goofy smiles from others is a good example.  

I hope I put a smile on your face.  That always makes my day.  

Now I am off and running to get some things accomplished on this Wednesday!

Good morning.  The storm seems to be done and it was not as bad as the prediction.  I suppose about 5 inches.  The real problem is coming this weekend.  It is going to be a high of zero on Sunday, it will reach a -12° F.  I am not ready for this.  To make matters worse, Saturday I am planning on attending a funeral.  I might actually not go as I have the car in the garage, however, I have to go to church in the afternoon and I hate walking there when it is below zero.  I managed to get my hand with the splint into a glove to do some shoveling.  Fortunately I had kept an old pair of gloves that most people would have thrown away.  In either case, welcome winter.  I should not complain too much as it has been a mild winter until now.  It is the first time I used a shovel.  The mailman became lazy as there were some cars parked by my neighbor's mailbox.  He put all of her mail into my mailbox.  There was no danger of it getting mixed up with my mail as I got no mail.  I'm assuming he did not put my mail into someone else's mailbox.  Have a good day.  Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

so glad you are okay Bud!  My brother in North GA had awful storms and lost power.  Said some brush fires were started from transformers blowing up.  My sister in central Florida had a tornado watch too all day and here was a wind advisory and rain all day.  They canceled the wind advisory for my area a few hours early thankfully.  3 inches of rain for you wow.  Hope you can dry out some before Friday.  Thank you for the pretty picture 🙂

Joy!  Joyful!  What wonderful words and what wonderful feelings!  

Life is good as this year moves along with the first week in the past and joy in the future.  

I am anxious to see where this year will lead us and what blessings are in store.  

Whatever comes our way, it is nice to know that we are all family and have each.

We can not do this. The mailman comes with his vehicle and delivers from the vehicle. Of course, if I had a sidewalk, they would have the mailman walk the route....... but then I would be responsible for shoveling the whole sidewalk. If it was not for the tax forms, I would not shovel at all. I get no mail except advertisements, and....... it is 2024. Campaigning!

Good morning. About 31*. Looking out the window, about an inch of snow but snow due to start again at 4 am.  I live in the city so hopefully the forecast of the extreme snow will be in the country. I have the car hidden in the garage for now. I was planning on going to a funeral on Saturday but it is going to be below zero F. I hate lifting the garage door to get the car in and out especially with the wrist healing up. I think I have become unwilling to do things with my years in seclusion. Have a good day.
