I also have an extensive movie collection. I only collect those that I will watch over again. My movies cover many genres including drama, comedy, western, mystery, war as well as action and chick flicks. I do not like many horror films though. I keep collecting as it seems every year there are always movies of interest that I want to add to my collection.

Some of my favorite music is jazz, blues, celtic and gospel. I do like a little country and of course the music I grew up with from the 60's. I discovered IL DIVO a couple of years ago and absolutely love the operatic boy band. This was quite a surprise as I don't like a lot of opera. But they are GREAT !!!! A recent addition to my music collection is Jack Johnson. My Granddaughter recommended him and to my surprise I loved it. I think she has to my surprise some of my taste in music.

I am an avid reader and have an extensive library of about 1800 books.
These include classics, mysteries, art, nature, architecture, botany, law, fiction, non-fiction and many more subjects too numerous to mention. One of my favorite authors is Sir Walter Scott. Two books that I have read and couldn't put down are The Glass Castle and The Memory Keeper's Daughter. 2 more books I think are worth a mention, Girl With A Pearl Earring and The Virgin Blue both by Tracy Chevalier. I read Jean Auel's Earth Children series every year. Pillars of the Earth and World Without End by Ken Follett are a definite must read. Absolutely loved them. I am now using a sony ereader and take it with me everywhere.

If I had only one color to choose it would probably be green, however I have very little green in my home. I wonder why !!!

I love seafood, cheese, and all teas except Earl Gray. Tomatoes and cucumbers are also a favorite.

I was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba. I now live in Ontario. I have 5 brothers and no sisters. I have 4 children (3 daughters and 1 son) and 8 grandchildren (3 granddaughters and 5 grandsons. I love to travel and have been to most of the United States and a few countries in Europe. I haven't seen all of Canada yet but hope to some day.
