I like a good comedy, some romantic movies & just about anything with Tommy Lee Jones in it.

I love music. Music makes my soul sing.
My MP3 player starts with ABBA and ends with ZZ Top. There are a whole lot of oldies, country and pop in the middle.

I like period romances, books that make me laugh, espionage & spy plots, some humerous vampire stories, something that catches my interest.

I love food! I love fruit, lots of fresh produce, vegies, pork rules!. I also have a real sweet tooth, not candy so much, but deserts, cakes, pies, and squares.

I live in a city just north of Calgary, Alberta. I became ill 3 years ago, when I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and a little later with COPD. As a result, I was forced to quit work and undergo many changes in my life.
The strain of my illness became too much for my husband and we separated this past summer. I moved to be closer to most of my children and this was a good move for me.
I try to be positive about life and take enjoyment where I find it. My health is somewhat better than it was a year ago and I will keep pushing for more improvement.

Spending time with my son, daughters & grandchildren.
My cats Gidgette & Maree, who are my constant companions.
Springtime, when everything is fresh & turning green.
Cheering on my Montreal Canadiens hockey team!
Watching the FoodTV channel to get new ideas for recipes. There's always something new to learn!
Watching the Discovery channel & TLC channel and the OLN channel, again, always something new to learn.
Warm, gentle rains that make everything smell so good.
People who are kind & thoughtful but not pushovers.
Babies! Who doesn't love babies!
Fresh air, humidity, sunshine!
There's just so much to love about life if you look for it.

People with bad tempers or no tolerance for others who are different than themselves.
Hot weather.
Really cold weather.
Snakes.
Not being able to go hiking like I used to.

My hobbies are playing games on the computer, reading, collecting recipes, flowers and watching hockey (namely the Montreal Canadiens!!!)
