I don't have a lot of time to read, but given a choice I would select ... Modern History, and Autobiographies. I recently read an Autobiography recounting the days leading up to the death of the Shah of Iran from Cancer. It was written as seen threw the eyes of his lovely Western wife.

I would be hard pressed to find a food I didn't like. However some foods I like a little more than others. White Peaches, Queen Ann Cherries, blackberries, potato salad, eggs (fried, omelette, hard boiled, scrambled etc.), cabbage rolls, grilled lobster, homemade soup, blue cheese, a good salad, bacon, a Horton's coffee .. in front of the fireplace on a cold night.

This is Kisska, our beloved Siamese, who keeps us royally entertained with his antics & who gives us his unconditional love.
I intend to live forever ... so far, so good!

We enjoy sitting on the deck with morniing coffee listening to & watching the birds while Kisska suns himself.
My husband retired after 42 years with a large international cement company. We sold our house and moved to a Condo. We love it. Watching someone else do the gardening is so much easier on your back! No more fences to paint. This is the life. The boredom we felt at first soon disappeared as we got used to things like ... friends coming over in the middle of the day, staying up late, sleeping in, and just generally relaxing and enjoying ourselves. For the first time in our married life, we are not a slave to the clock.

I'm a 63 year old Aquarian. We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary in November. I grew up in a small community 40 miles from Vancouver (on the West Coast of British Columbia) I was one of 6 children. My father passed away when I was 8. It was difficult, but my Mom raised all of us on her own. She passed away 8 years ago. My youngest sister died at the age of 42 from heart disease. My oldest brother passed away last year. So our once very large family is now much smaller. Still we get together each year to honour their memories and to celebrate the holidays.
God loved Birds and made trees,
Man loved Birds and made cages.

cats, puppies, quiet times, Irish music, flowers, Tim Horton's coffee, snow, Christmas lights, oysters on toast, watching T.V. from bed, feeding the wild geese at the park. fireworks, sitting in front of the fireplace on a stormy night, my computer, bubble baths, the crunch of fall leaves beneath your feet, a good book, I could go on as there are lots of other things I like but I won't bore you with them all.
I have a theory that Chocolate slows the aging process. It may not be true ... but dare I take that chance.
I'd stop eating Chocolate ~ But I ain't no Quitter!!

In my younger days , I rode horses, especially dressage,,,
These days I enjoy floral design, gift wrapping, the Stock Market, cooking, sketching, and a bit of sewing.
Most beds can sleep up to 6 cats ... 10 without their owner
