Hope you are enjoying a restful Sunday! To those of you on the other side of the globe, pray you are having a restful night! Darc, had a great time decorating cookies with my girls yesterday. Had them done in 4 hours because we had quite a system. One baked, two frosted, and one decorated with sprinkles, etc. Then we all went to Zach's game. I think I'm a bad omen as he fouled out last night. First game he had 10 points and last night wa a complete opposite! Plus, they lost big time. I guess they'll have those nights! Helped served cookies and wassail after church today and I've been loafing since I got home. Tomorrow I get new tires and I'll be making something again for a class Christmas potluck on Tuesday. Need to decide what that's going to be, plus I'm taking a small relish tray. Haven't looked any further on my week's calendar. A few days at a time is enough - ha! Kinda muggy day. Overcast, chilly and BORING. Trying to get the feel of the season. When one gets to a certain age one has no needs. So.... what does one get for one's friends? I guess giving hugs year-round is a good pressie. So much nonsense in the news - none very uplifting. However...... then there is you. I appreciate your friendship. Miserable day here Darci - almost constant rain, wind and cold - but no snow. Don't want to go anywhere but stay inside and watch tv. Can't say how long it's been since I did houseworkbut the house isnt messy or dirty and the vacuuming was done the other day so I'm guessing it'll be ok for another day or so. I got to get out of just going to functions and eating!!!
Hope your weather improves - this should move out tonite and be an ok day tomorrow. Hope so as we are going to Va. Beach for another Christmas dinner. Business formal, so I either wear a long dress that isn't Christmassy or go find a black skirt as I have a red blouse or Christmassy sweater top.

We had a very full day Darci. The weather here was decent - no rain but very cool. We started off at the American Legion in Hetford with their Christmas dinner at 1 pm - roast beef, turkey, sweet and mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies and collards, rolls, and peach cobbler for dessert plus coffee or iced tea. I won a big pointsettia plant as a door prize - didn't even hear them call my number!!! We left there and went to the VFW to watch the Army Navy game and they were having a chili cook off contest. There were 16 entries!! We had a bit from a few of our friends , but after it was all over we got several containers of anything we wanted to take home for free!!! They made good money from sales to eat the chili, had a 50/50 and a drawing for a liquor basket with some really good stuff in it!! We won nothing :( :( but had a good time as always just being with friends even though the Navy lost the game.
Tomorrow is a day of rest then Mon. we go to another Christmas party at a different FRA branch in Va. Beach, and on the 16th the VFW is having a Christmas prime rib dinner that we just found out about tonite. Not sure if we'll go to that or not. So by the time we go home for Christmas and have 2 nites of dinners at my sister's, I'll need stretch pants for sure!!.

Been swimming in laundry most of the day. Since the next few days look bad..may as well get it done. We’ve only had a drizzling rain here so far. Looks like midnight is when things begin to move in here. Be safe, and enjoy -:)
It is a cool and drippy Saturday here but since it's the weekend, it's hard to complain. Not much happening at my house, how about yours? Whatever you are or aren't doing, enjoy the day! I'll do the same and then we'll both be happy!
Place is an absolute shambles - Christmas stuff all over the place. Trying to get organized in a much smaller space than we had at our house. Seniors' Residences don't let one expand :) :)
I miss feeding and watching the birds so you'll have to do double duty for me.
