The weekend is here again! have anything planned? Looks like it will be a fairly rainy weekend here and much cooler temps. Really need some rain so it will be nice.
It will be nice having a quieter weekend and no outside chores, I hope!
I made applesauce in the crock pot today. Made the house smell so good. May just have to make some soup this weekend too with the cooler temps.
Sounds like you are busy with your Thanksgiving prep. Yesterday I bought a turkey to have at Jamie's on Thanksgiving. We have been busy with our menu and picking up things each week. Dylan has it on the list for some pumpkin ice cream so that is something new to our thanksgiving list!
What a nice Friday day with snow on the ground which is putting a twinkle in my eyes and a smile on my face.
Just put together a nice soup mixture in the instant pot and my can't wait to have some of those oyster crackers mixed into the soup.

Thursday was an entire day of rain. The rain was a cold and a wet rain too!
The view from my computer room where I couldn't even see the mail truck putting mail in the mailbox.
So what is a lady to do? Well, make chicken and dumplings, of course,
While it is cooking, I might as well make a Pineapple Angel Food Cake.
Then add cut up pieces of Grand biscuits, let the dumplings simmer a bit and get your appetite ready. There might be a little bit left if you want some. It is better the second day anyway!

Hello Darci, your kids are the lucky ones! You sound like me, making extra for them to take home. I make extra dressing each year and send it home in a ready to bake casserole dish with my son and his wife. We enjoy spoiing them, don't we? Greetings. Veterans Day is observed today. No mail in the colonies. After my walk today, I was going to go for a ride on the motorcycle. It is 37* and pleasant. I was surprised the bike started considering the trouble with the battery. I started the bike for a few minutes and went into the house for proper attire. I went back out to go and the bike would not start and thus............ massive depression. I do not want to buy a battery until the spring so I may have to endure this agony until then. I am hoping to have it for the dental appointment next week but who knows. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
