So our adopted family came Monday after Will's dentist appointment!
Oh what a fun time was had by all! We ate delicious hamburgers! The guys watched Westerns and talked. Wendy made a great Apple Cranberry Coleslaw from a recipe I found and had bought all the ingredients. Then we harvested my Malabar Spinach and had a wonderful visit together.
As usual, Rbt shared lots of stories from many years ago with some knowledge thrown in. Believe me when I say that there is a lot of knowledge and stories worth listening to from him.
There is no telling how tall my 17 year old grandson is now. His mom is 6' and his half brother is 6'9". When I reach out my arms, they are at his waist. He is such a loving and kind man that knows God and the Bible. We are BLESSED!
We are so thankful for the family and friends that Jesus has put in our life! I am especially Blessed with my Hubby!
Greetings. Happy Hump Day. About 63* this morning and it will stay there the rest of the day. A little rain this morning. Will end at 5:45 am real time. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Boy, October sure did race by, as I knew it would. We waited all summer for October now it's nearly gone! Halloween will be over and gone by next week. It all passed so quickly, almost feels like a dream. I've been watching Halloween movies off and on for the last couple of weeks. Before the month is over I want to get back to Applebees to try another one of their Halloween mixed drinks. I tried one of them earlier in the month, but want to get back there to try the other one. After the 31st they are no longer available. After that there will be a lull for a couple of weeks then they'll come out with their Christmas drinks. I love their fancy mixed drinks. Do you like mixed drinks? I do, but it all depends what's in them. Some are really tasty!
What have you been up to these days? Autumn hugs ~~ Darlene
It was a no motivation day for me too Darci, and I didn't even bother looking for it.......hope you found yours. Had leftover chilie for dinner and honey wanted somthing for dessert later and I didn't have any so I sugguested we go to Sonic and get ice cream. That fixed our cravings. I alwso put towels away that I folded yesterday. I to find more motivation for tomorrow as I have to get up early to go somewhere then going to a getogether at the Moose at 6:30 then possibly out to dinner. Hope you find yours if you need to get things done on Wednesday. Scarow hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you. Its a lovely day here. Partly cloudy and a high of 77. The temperatures are going to be going down hill the rest of the week with a chance of rain. Not much going on here. I have clothes laying on my bed that need to be folded and put away. And dishes that need to be washed. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Many hugs to you, Cheryl
Oh Darci, don't we all have days like that. You really made me laugh today!

Hi! How is your Tuesday coming along? I am currently seeking my motivation; it seems to have walked off and is nowhere to be found. So I'll visit The Hill in hopes Motivation went out for coffee and returns soon. Have a great day, Pam.
Fall is the time for Chrysanthemums to bloom. Isn't it amazing how different times of the year different plants show their colors.
This Tuesday morning we are still waiting for rain. It is west of us! Fort Worth got a nice rain yesterday evening!
Me, waiting for rain to get here. Cooler temperatures coming... a high of 55 for Halloween is cold! Not waiting for that! Just trying to be thankful for every minute of every day.
Good morning. I managed to get out for my exercise albeit with a different route. A great light show this morning. There was a lot of lightning but I did not hear much thunder and so I ventured out even though I usually do not go when there is lightning. I managed to complete my mileage without getting wet. I was cognizant that storms were close to becoming ugly. I originally thought last night I would have to cancel this morning but I was able to persevere. Naturally I picked up the pace with a controversy brewing with this writer and the storm. In either case, I am back in my FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE and shall most likely remain here for the rest of the day. I suppose if I decide to go to church, I could always take my motorcycle. I doubt if I shall attend church today without my car. Yesterday the brakes on my car became nonexistent. There's nothing that makes you feel so helpless as the brake pedal going to the floor. I took the chance and drove it to the auto repair shop without brakes and I saw it resting nicely in a parking place this morning. When I left it there, it was up by the building and I told them I was not going to try to park it in a parking space next to some cars without brakes. In either case, I have not heard any reports from the auto shop. I have been having trouble with a light on my dashboard that is associated with the emergency brake. A guy at the car repair shop told me it also indicates I do not have any brake fluid. The long and the short of it is I am without a car. Fortunately my dental appointment isn't until the middle of next month otherwise I would have to persevere with other methods of getting there. I hope you're having a better day than this writer. I always try to look at the optimistic point of view. I could be stuck in the Ukraine or the Middle East. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Quite right, about the leaves. But, if you don't mind doing so, watering down, the leaves, themselves, forms a fire block, as lying leaves tend to hold water, at least, for a week, or so...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a TANTILLIZINGLY TASTY TUESDAY, and are having a TRANSFORMATIONAL WEEK, my friend...
Happy new week. Mid-October already. My favorite month goes by all too quickly. Tarlia, we lost our 12 year old German shepherd overnight. She passed away peacefully after having a stroke a couple days ago. We knew she was nearing the end even before the stroke. He back legs barely worked anymore and she had every sign of an aged dog. She was a good old girl and we will surely miss her. On a happier note, it's a beautiful, cool autumn day so I'm pleased.
