I don't know if I'd told you before, but we have a potted Lemon tree, and have had it for about 16 months or so. It had been growing a a lemon, which I just plucked about 3 weeks ago, right after I discovered 2 more lemons growing. I made lemonade, and gathered what seeds I could find. I'm hoping to start some more trees, and give them away to people that visit our yardsales...

Good afternoon Darci Ceil & I have been busy the past few days with Appts. and doing some shopping Tuesday we had a hearing test for the both of us Ceil's hearing is still the same as two years ago and I was a first time patient and I have a slight hearing loss in my left ear.It was near 50* here yesterday and it's going to be 45* and tomorrow we're getting a cold rain with temps in the 30's for a couple days and next week we're getting warmer weather.We have supper cooking in the crock-pot we're making Turkey chilli Ceil is downstairs watching TV while she plays games on her phone while I'm upstairs answer our comments here and after I get caught up with our comments I'll go downstairs and join Ceil and I'll play some games on my phone while we watch TV until supper is ready and after we eat we'll go upstairs and go into the bedroom and we'll watch TV while we play games on our phones until we're ready to go to bed.Hugs,Rob & Ceil

And as for your prayers, I find, that like any GOOD parent, The CREATOR, gives US the very best understanding that IT has, so as to help US make the best decisions, for ourselves, and our loved ones. And, as with any, GOOD, parent, stands back, and prays that WE do the best WE can with what our parents have given us...Those I mentioned before, if nothing else, serve as examples of exactly what we don't need to succeed. Hopefully, more will learn to understand that!

What a spring-like, Irish-flavored, grin-inducing page you've put together! Your baby chicks would be at home in any of the photos (but the laundry on the comforter wouldn't be fun if they were on it for any length of time). Congrats on your new brood; I hope they are good little hens for you and Dave and that no predators get at them--EVER!
I've tried to post on Facebook as to how Dennis is doing, so you're as caught up as everyone else. We'll all be happy once a cardiologist decides what to do next in order to get the A-Fib to stop. And if Den doesn't have to take all of the medications--even better. He sure has a glut of them. We had to pick up one of those pill separators to help keep track of what he takes and when. Ugh. He won't see the heart doc until early in March, so we're counting the days and hanging on until then. He will see his regular doc at the end of this month to make sure his blood thickness is where it should be and that all is going as well as can be expected.
You know, we have rain often here, but we sure don't get the amounts at any one time that you do. We'll get maybe a half of an inch--possibly close to an inch if it's really "bad", but that's about it. I can't imagine getting 4" of rain from one storm; I can definitely see why you put out the request for an ark...or a rowboat, even. We do happen to have three boats and I'd seriously love to give you one, but you probably wouldn't want it. Dennis uses one of them and I have no idea how 'seaworthy' the other two are. Both were given to my hubby (does he not know the word "no" when it comes to boats?) and we have no use for either one of them. Perhaps you should invest in a personal helicopter or a hot air balloon and just "rise above it all"...
How are your little seedlings doing, Darci? Are you seeing green and growing things yet, or is it still a bit early for that? Some years Dennis tries to start things early. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I think our garden soil probably needs a lot of amendments before we can have a really successful garden. There is a lot of clay in our soil and that doesn't make for happy root vegetables. Or plant roots, either, I suppose. I am not much shakes as a gardener, though I do have a rather weedy herb garden. It's the one thing in the yard that the chickens seem to leave alone. I think we need to plant some spreading herbs in the chicken yard so it's not a wasteland of muckety-muck-mud. Could it be time for some thyme? Can we take a minute for mint? I think I'm being silly. Onward!
Blonde brownies...is that a thing? I've heard of Blondies and brownies, but not a combo of the two. I bet your B.B.'s tasted wonderful, though, so I hope you and your family enjoyed every morsel of 'em. Yum! As to having a spare bed-making fairy...alas, mine has been on a semi-permanent vacation for...well...ever. I think maybe she's hiding out with the dust bunny herd. All I have is a toilet bowl troll...would you care for one? No? A cobweb genie, perhaps? A weed nymph? Actually, I think that last one is called a CHICKEN...and you seem to have a half-dozen new ones, so I'm guessing you'll pass on adding any weed nymphs to your place.
Den watched the stupor bowl...er, Super Bowl. Actually, the overtime was not expected and mildly exciting. I didn't watch any of it, but heard some of it from my office. That's about as close to it as I'd want to get. Den wasn't pulling for either team, so he was just watching because it's the last football game until late summer when they start it all over again. Our son used to pull for the Seattle Seahawks but my hubby has been a longtime fan of the Raiders (in whatever city they're currently in). I think the last time I truly enjoyed a football game, I was in high school. We can almost see the football field from our house--we can certainly hear the games every Friday night. That's about as close as I care to get these days.
I think I need to dig out some crockpot recipes and see about using mine. It's been parked on top of the fridge for long enough that I'll probably have to clean the lid before using it. I do love being able to set up dinner and have it cooking away early in the day so at the end of it, I don't have to do much more than open the lid and plop in a serving utensil. Woot, woot! Whatever you put together in your slow cooker for dinner, I hope it turned out beautifully and that cleaning up afterwards was easy-peasy.
What to do with a day...well, I've been putting off vacuuming, so that's a possibility. Not a fun one, but at least not overly taxing. Oh, shoot--speaking of taxing--I should be doing ours. I have the papers gathered together, it's just making myself dive in and do it that's the stumbling block. Somehow, I can always find something better to do. Flossing my teeth. Getting the lint out of the dryer's lint trap. Cleaning the poop off of the chicken eggs. Gee whiz...I think I need to find better things to fill my time...what do you think, Darci? Maybe I need to immerse myself over at Pinterest for a few hours...days...weeks........
I think I will go make a cup of tea, then sit down with my Kindle and lose myself in Regency England for a while. Cherrio!
