I hope the weekend has been off to a great start for you. Its been a very cold cloudy day here that started out with rain but i am inside with no where I need to go!
At the present moment it is snowing here and it's going to get heavier this evening our area is supposed to get 4-8" it's our first storm of the season so everybody is going nuts getting stuff at the stores before the storm gets here.Tonight we're having Orange Roughy rice & corn for supper and later we're going to have some peanut butter fudge that I made this morning.
Oh I hope you have a wonderful day! Another weekend has started and it is the first one this year. Do you have a glass table? Not one end table or coffee table in my house is that clean? Dust and dog hair show up before I can even turn around!
Sometimes there is no denying who we come from or are related to. But we are each one uniquely made and that is the truth.
You are beautiful and some people have a time learning to love themself and to just be happy every single day. But you are one of a kind!
When you are happy and you smile it really makes not only your day better but makes the day for other people around you better too. Thank you for your smile in my life each time I hear from you.
I am so glad you were made for both of us to enjoy this wonderful friendship! You have made my Caturday a better day and this day will be unique and never come again!
I do believe this round of antibiotics is going to work. I can actually hear some things out of my right ear, and the pressure has eased up, quite a bit...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Darci, I pray YOU have a STEADFASTLY SENSATIONAL SATURDAY, and are having a SPLENDIFEROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
Good morning. Today is the actual day of the Epiphany. I went out this morning to throw out the water and pick up the mail. My mailbox is on the street so I have to actually walk outside. It is 30* but it felt nice out even though I was not dressed decently. Of course, 2am so no one is aghast at this. I missed going for the walk. Nothing planned for today except church later this afternoon. Maybe a walk later this morning even though it is the weekend. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet. Or, as Paul Harvey would say, now you know the rest of the story.
Ha, you almost got the concrete Winnie-the-Pooh that I found for Beth on Etsy instead of the snowman graphic I had in mind. Yeah, guess whose page I was just on? I couldn't seem to find a wire-mesh Winnie, but the concrete one should stand up to hard winds better, anyway. I know the winds here kept blowing over the light-up mesh rooster we had, so maybe concrete is a (*ahem*) more solid choice?
So your hubby has an occasional extra heartbeat and that is called "extrasystole", according to a bit of Googling I did. It can also be called arrhythmia or a palpitation. It's probably called other things, too, but that's enough to confuse anybody so I'll leave it at that. Dennis isn't supposed to be having caffeine, either, but he was having problems with edema and while he was on a diuretic to take care of that, he self-medicated with some cups of coffee. Yeah, not something he should be doing and I'll need to discuss it with him since I think it's contributing to his not feeling as good as he could be. But you know how stubborn men can be, so I don't know if I'll get much of anywhere with him about it. As to any other dietary restrictions--yes, he is on Warfarin and with that medication, you are not supposed to eat foods which are high in vitamin K because they work against the drug. Warfarin is to thin the blood, vitamin K helps with clotting. So spinach, kale--all of those leafy greens that Dennis isn't too keen on anyway--are off the table for now. I don't think there's anything else that the doc has said he shouldn't have.
Since we have very cold weather coming this week (which will probably deliver us some snow and/or icy conditions--pretty to look at, but heck to have to drive when it's that way), my son and I are taking a trip to town for groceries and supplies for the chickens. I'm hoping to get home well before dark since I don't do well with changes in lighting--my eyes are slow-adjusters. Nick can drive if we dawdle too much, but I'd rather get in, get it all done and scoot for home. Dennis isn't up for the trip, but Nick is really good company and help. It will eat into his weekend off, but that can't be helped, I'm afraid. I'm happy he's so good at pitching in when needed...especially lately, because he's really been needed!
I'm happy that you like my choice of background on my page--thank you for saying so! I'm loving the pic you have under emergency contact, as it reminds me strongly of my background choice. It's that intense green-blue color that really draws your eye.
Guess I'd better go straighten through the house and get my teeth brushed and hit the hay. Have a nice, relaxing, stay-warm-if-you-can weekend, Darci!
No big plans this weekend..Plan to cook a Boston butt in the crock pot on Saturday..picked up the last one they had today at Food Lion. Finally had them on sale 99 cents pound. It's about 8 pounds, but what we don't finish will go in freezer. Have a wonderful weekend 😉
Fantastic Friday to you! A sunny, cold morning here and not to get out of the 40s today. What's going on at your house? Do you plan to do anything out of the ordinary this weekend? Whatever today and the weekend brings, be safe and enjoy every minute!
Good afternoon to you. Its a cloudy and cold day here. We got probably a inch of snow. The roads are clear which is nice. I went to Walmart this morning and got the things we needed. Don't know if I want to get out and about next week as the temperatures are going to be in the teens as a high. To cold for me. I hope you are having a good afternoon. Well take care my friend and enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Cheryl
Hello Darci, it's warming up here now ahead of the rain they say is coming tonight. We've had a chilly week so far and I've had plants all in my living space. lol. Happy weekend!
So my transportation drama is ended; we found a 2015 Jeep Patriot with 60000 miles that made the hubby happy & friends wanted our 2012 Jeep so badly they gave us $2200 for it. Hope you have a great weekend! 🩵
